Pawel Tomczuk (also known as „Swag” and „Orzel”) was born in 1989 in Bydgoszcz.
He is strictly associated with graffiti and street art culture. He creates paintings, murals,
graffiti. Lately he acts in urban space, Swag places his artwork in various points in
Bydgoszcz and allows accidental people – viewers to take his art. This whole action is
called „Art for the Street”. He wants to share with unknown audience his art.
He paints mainly romanticized portraits of women with surreal attributes. His technique
is combination of varied tools. Airbrush emphasizes sophistication and aestetics.
In contrast, brush strokes signalizes expressive character of composition. In his work are
noticable the painterly (which is characterized by loose using of colors) and linearity
(which is characterized by penchant for sharp shapes). Swag joined to artistic crew
„Saloon Rebels” in July 2014. „Saloon Rebels” brings together street art painters and
promotes fresh and clever artist outside the academic circle.
Pawel Tomczuk presentes his piece of art on „Saloon Rebels Exhibition” in Bydgoszcz in
July 2014. Swag Artist sells his paintings on „Young Polish Artist” auctions in NEXT art
gallery in Bydgoszcz and DESA Unicum art gallery in Warsaw.
