Swachhata Abhiyan In order to ensure cleanliness and a healthy atmosphere, Sandiksha Frontier Guwahati

and 22nd Bn, Sonapur organized Swachhata Abhiyan at Maa Kamakhya Temple, Guwahati

Zoo and Games Village. During the Abhiyaan Sandiksha members, officers, staff, jawans and

family members from Ftr Guwahati, 22nd Bn and 33rd Bn participated. Local authority of

kamakhya temple and Zoo appreciated sandiksha Guwahati for organizing Swachhata

Abhiyan at the temple.

Seminar on ‘Beti Bachao’, ‘Beti Padhao’ and Dowry System

Different programmes on ‘Beti Bachao’, ‘Beti Padhao’ and awareness on Dowry System

were organized at Ftr Guwahati and different units under Frontier Guwahati. Lectures on

different topics on the girl child, dowry system were delivered by the officers, sandiksha

members and wives of officers.

Computer and Tailoring Training

Sandiksha, Frontier Guwahati organized a Basic Computer Training course at Games

Village. Which was imparted by Sh. Manish Bachhil, Dy. Comdt. (Comm) of Frontier Guwahati

and his team from Communication branch with the available infrastructure.

05 (Five) days training on Stitching cloth was also organized by Sandiksha Guwahati.

Phenyl Preparation

As a group activity Sandiksha members of Frontier Guwahati took part in preparation

of phenyl in the workshop of Sandiksha. Raw materials are purchased from the local market

and phenyl is prepared, bottled and sold in the units of SSB on demand basis through SWWA

Shop.

Plantation Drive

On 29th July-2016 1000 (Thousand) saplings were planted in the new location of

Frontier Guwahati by the members of Sandiksha, officers and stsfffs of Frontier Hqrs. and 22nd

Bn under the motto of Clean and Green North East.

Other units under Frontier Guwahati also organized Plantation Drive at different

locations under the aegis of Sandiksha.

Celebration of Teej Festival

Sandiksha members of Frontier Guwahati and 22nd Bn, Sonapur & lady wives of

officers organized Teej Festival at 22nd Bn. On the occasion a cultural programme was also

organized.

Road Safety Campaign

To educate families of SSB Personnel Sandiksha Frontier Guwahati organized a

workshop on Road Safety and Traffic Rules. On the occasion traffic police officers from Assam

Police delivered talk on Road Safety and Traffic Rules to the Sandiksha Members including

wives of officers. After the workshop all the Sandiksha members and wives of officers and

jawans associated themselves with traffic police personnel of Basistha Chariali and

Ganeshguri traffic point in Guwahati city in regulating traffic. The main focus of the drive

was to educate road users and to create awareness on the importance of following traffic

rules. During the drives Sandiksha members interacted with motorists and pedestrians and

also appealed to the general public to observe traffic rules.

Interaction with DG

During the visit of Hon’ble Director General of SSB at Guwahati Frontier all members

of Sandiksha Guwahati and field units under Ftr Guwahati arranged interaction programme

at Games Village, Guwahati.

Visit to Blind School, Basistha

An interaction programme was organized by Sandiksha Members and personnel of

Frontier Guwahati & 22nd Bn Sonapur at Guwahati Blind School, Basistha and daily uses

items were distributed among the students. A free medical health check up of the Blind School

students was conducted by doctor and para medical staff of Frontier Hqrs. Guwahati.

Inauguratino of Day Care Centre at 22nd Bn

In 22nd Bn, Sonapur the lady constable of the unit had to leave behind their small

children during duty hours. Regional President Sandiksha Guwahati and Commandant 22nd

Bn stepped in to solve the difficulties experienced by them. On 24th September-2016 a Day

Care Centre was inaugurated by Smt. Ameeta Negi, Regional President Sandiksha, Frontier

Guwahati in the campus of 22nd Bn, Sonapur.

Inauguration of Day Care Centre at 32nd Bn Howly

Mrs. Ameeta Negi, Regional President Sandiksha, Guwahati inaugurated a Day Care

Centre at 32nd Bn, Howly for the lady constables who had to leave their tiny toddlers

unattended during duty hours.

’Beti Bachao’, ‘Beti Padhao’ programme at 32nd Bn Howly

An awareness programme in connection with the ‘Beti Bachao’, Beti Padhao was

organized at 32nd Bn under the leadership of Regional President Sandikha, Guwahati Smt.

Ameeta Negi. During the programme different types of gifts like bedsheet were distributed to

the girls student of Howly Higher Secondary School.

Swachhata Abhiyaan

All members of Sandiksha, 32nd Bn Howly along with Smt. Ameeta Negi, Regional

President, Frontier Guwahati conducted Swachhata Abhiyaan at Community Health Centre,

Howly and Howly Higher Secondary School. Regional Sandiksha president Smt. Ameeta Negi

and Sandiksha members of 32nd Bn visited community Health Centre at Howly. There was

lack of general cleanliness in the hospital compound and hygiene, sanitation was missing in

the Maternity Ward, Labour Room Male and Female Wards. Smt. Ameeta Negi Regional

President and all sandiksha members came together to clean and mop the floors of Maternity

wards, Labour rooms, female ward and generally sanitize the compound of the Community

Health Centre.

Campus and class room of the Howly Higher Secondary School were also cleaned by

the Sandiksha members and the lady staff of 32nd Bn, Howly.

Training on Beauty Parlour and competition on Handmade items

Regional President Sandiksha, Smt. Ameeta Negi organized training programme on

beauty parlour and a competition on preparation of hand made items among the Sandiksha

members. Sandiksha members also presented a cultural programme.
