Founded in the year 2002, Sree Sai Prasad Education Society’s main motto is to nurture and develop the talents and skills of the students. Affiliated to Palamuru Universi-ty, Swami Vivekananda Degree & P.G College is a well-es-tablished educational organization with professional administration, revolutionary ideas, and acquaintance of modernized technologies. Along with Palamuru University, our educational organiza-tion is also recognized by renowned universities such as Nagarjuna University and Kakatiya University. For the first time, we introduced organic chemistry (M.Sc.) in the year 2008 under Osmania University (Presently Affiliated to Palamuru University). Our college has a separate Placement Cell, which is headed by highly experienced and dedicated professionals. Our placement cell comprises of energetic & motivated team members and it acts as a pivot for the Industrial Training and Placement of pre-final and final year students.

Our Placement Cell helps the final year students in securing jobs appropriate with their knowledge and achievements, by organizing campus interviews and exploring various avenues for their placement. Our former students got placed in top companies such as MATRIX Labs, MSN Labs, AUROBINDO Labs, ICICI, GATI, COGNIGENT, Shree Ram Chits, GENPACT, TCS, Reliance Jio, WIPRO, IBM, and ARIES.

Our commerce students won the rolling shield continuously four times in the Quiz competition conducted by the FOCOL. Our talented students won the gold medals for thier overall best performance in University examinations.

As a relief from academic stress for both the teaching and non-teaching staff, the college organises recreational programs and visited places like Dholari Dhani, Pragati Resorts etc.

Our college library is enriched with huge number of textbooks, reference books, journals and periodicals etc. the facilities provided by the library include reading and lending services, reference services etc. Besides these, access to Internet is provided to the students. DOST ID will be generated based on your information provided and this will be valid and referred to till the process of admis-sion is completed. Admissions will be made in phase wise.

Process of Admission

The candidates who have passed with a minimum of 40% marks in the Intermediate Public Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, T.S. or any other equivalent exam-ination recognized by the UGC. MPC/BiPC with a minimum of 40% marks acquired in the optional subjects are considered as an eligible for admission into B.Sc. I Year in Physical Science and Biological Science.

Eligibility

The candidates who have passed the intermediate public examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education T.S. or any other equivalent examination recognized by the UGC are eligible for admitting into I Year B.Com. (Gen) / B.Com. (Comp).

B.Com

Swami Vivekananda Degree & PG College strictly follows the attendance procedure. The students with less than 75% atten-dance in their theory/practical classes shall NOT be allowed to appear for the University examinations and their examination applications are not forwarded to the University examination branch.

We will conduct various class tests, unit tests, mid-term tests, and pre-final tests apart from university internal assessment examinations to test our students skills. We will also send the student marks to parents/ guardians to keep track on the student’s progress.

Sprawling across 36000 square feet, our college has

enormous student strength. The students are endowed with

modern infra and convenient amenities that make their life go

easy in college hours, alongside learning. Some of the facili-

ties include well-ventilated classrooms, big seminar halls,

mineral water, computer labs, laboratories, stocked library,

seamless Internet connectivity, medical facilities, sports

facility etc. To enhance student’s practical knowledge, we

provide ample laboratories for each department fulfilling the

University norms.

Proper safety measures are also taken in the lab’s.Students are kept under constant supervision of a lab assistant incase of tough experiments.

Biotechnology, Microbiology and Biochemistry Labs

We are the pioneer’s in the district to introduce the advanced courses in Life Sciences like Biotechnology, Microbiology and Biochemistry. By which we have restrained the Migration of students to Hyderabad

Our Labs are well equipped with the conventional equipments required to conduct dissections. Animal and human body charts and models are provided, which help in understanding the external morphology, specimens of various plants and animals and all the materials needed as per the syllabus. These kits help to enhance the practical knowledge of the students.

Botany and Zoology Labs

Chemistry LabsLabs are equipped with required Chemicals, Solutions and adequate Glassware including conductivity Meter, Calorie Meter, Centrifuges, Kipps Arraratus, Suction Pump & Electronic Balances etc.

Each laboroatory is provided with good water supply, facility for waste water drainage and gas supply through pipeline.

Physics & Electronic LabsLabs are equipped with sufficient instruments such as Sodium Vapour Lamp, Oscilloscope, Spectrometer & other electrical and elctronic equipments.

Computer LabsSVDC provides state-of-art air conditioned computing facilities for its students. Computers are installed with latest software and are connected in LAN. We provide systems on 1:1 basis which enables the students to gain on-hands experience in real-time.
