ESP* control systemAvailable on AWD models, ESP (Electronic Stability Program)supplements the Suzuki SX4s inherent stability with three majorfunctions: ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), traction control and stability control. ESPsECU uses various sensors to determine and hold the intended

cornering line, greatly increasing traction and stability control whilereducing front and rear wheel-slip for enhanced safety.*ESP is a registered trademark of Daimler AG.

Steadfast, responsive systemSX4 uses an independent MacPherson strut front suspension and

rigid torsion beam rear suspension. This design helps to absorbvertical motion to reduce bouncing and provide a safer, smootherride, while also providing enhanced linear handling response forgreater ride comfort.

SeatbeltsThe front seats are equipped with three-point ELR seatbeltswith pre-tensioners and force limiters for enhanced safety inthe event of an accident. The rear seats feature three-point ELRseatbelts and are equipped with two child seat anchorages.

Safety-engineered body

The SX4 body combines a rigid frame that directs collisionenergy around the cabin and away from occupants, andnumerous crumple zones that help absorb and dissipatecollision energy before it can reach the interior. This design isfurther enhanced by side impact door beams, recongured sidemembers and other reinforcements throughout.

Preventative measuresThe SX4 is designed to provide the driver withample visibility on all sides by elevating thedrivers seat position and minimising blind spots.A six-airbag system combining SRS front, sideand curtain airbags is also available to helpprevent injury in the event of a collision.

Luggage roomThe 60:40-split rear seats fold down to allow larger items to be stowed in the back

while still providing space for two occupants. Folding down both of the rear seatscreates a convenient room with up to 992 litres (VDA) of carrying space.

Elevated seatingSX4 features an elevated seat position for both front and rear occupants. This providesthe driver with a high-visibility vantage point for added safety and manoeuvrability,while all occupants can enjoy the enhanced comfort and ease of entry and exit.

Suzuki Smartpass keyless lockingThe keyless start system comes with a remote control unit. When the unit is broughtwithin 80cm of the drivers door handle, it communicates with an in-vehicle key freesystem, which activates the lock mechanism. The user can then unlock the doorkeylessly using a button on the door.

Keyless engine startupWhen the user enters the new SX4 with the remote control unit and sits on the driversseat, the in-vehicle key-free system communicates with the engine control unit,enabling the user to start the engine by simply turning an engine-start knob. The userdoes not need to take the remote control out of his/her pocket.
