2.AstrongeconomicimpactInternationaltourismrepresents11%ofworldGDP.Itcontributestomorethan200millionsofpeoplewichrepresents8%oftotalemployment.
AccordingtotheWTO,tourism’sbenefitscumulate220.000dollarspersecondin2013,ora7.000billiondollarsannualturnover.Tourismrepresents10%world’sGDP,7%ofinternationaltradeand30%ofservices’sexportations.1jobin11isrelatedtoTourism(directandnondirectjobs).Classifiedatthe4thrankofexportationsafterfuel,chimicalproductsandautomobilesectors,tourismrepresentsthemainpartofexportationsformanycountriesparticularlydevelopingcountriesorislands.In2017,worldtourismshouldgrowfrom3to4%acordingtoWTO.Inthemaintime,tourismisresponsiblefor5%oftotalGESmainlyduetoairtransportation.

– Participationintheimplementationofenvironmentalfootprintlabellingoftouristaccommodations.Thisschemeallowshotelownerstoevaluatetheenvironmentalimpactofahotelnight.Actionsarerecommendedtohelpthemreducetheenvironmentalimpactoftheirhotel
