70% of humanity’s water consumption goes to agriculture.
It takes 100 liters of water to produce 1 kilogram of potatoes.
4000 liters for 1 kilo of rice
13000 liters for 1 kilo of beef.

Climate Change
Climate ChangeClimate Change
Climate change refers to any significant change in measures of climate (such as temperature, precipitation or wind) lasting for an extended period (decades or longer).
Recent Climate ChangeRecent Climate ChangeSince the Industrial Revolution (around 1750), human activities have substantially added to the amount of heat-trapping greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The burning of fossil fuels and biomass (living matter such as vegetation) has also resulted in emissions of aerosols that absorb and emit heat, and reflect light.
Future Climate ChangeFuture Climate Change Since the Industrial Revolution (around
1750), human activities have substantially added to the amount of heat-trapping greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The burning of fossil fuels and biomass (living matter such as vegetation) has also resulted in emissions of aerosols that absorb and emit heat, and reflect light.
Biodiversity is the variety of species, their genetic make-up, and thenatural communities in which theyoccur.
Biodiversity
Why is it ?Why is it ?
•The air we breathe is a product of photosynthesis by green plants.
•Insects, worms, bacteria and other tiny organisms break down wastes and aid in the decomposition of dead plants and animals to enrich soils.
•More than 90 percent of the calories consumed by people worldwide are produced from 80 plant species.
•Almost 30 percent of medicines are developed from plants and animals, and many more are derived from these sources.
Oil and other fossil fuel depletion (peak oil, etc) Reliance on foreign sources of energy Geopolitics (such as supporting dictatorships, rising
terrorism, “stability” of nations that supply energy) Energy needs of poorer countries, and demands
from advancing developing countries such as China and India
Economic efficiency vs population growth debate

sources
Alternative sources of energy
•Solar energy (generating of electricity from sun)
•Wind energy (generating of electricity from wind)
•Geothermal energy (using hot water or steam from the Earth’s interior for
heating buildings or electricity generation)•Biofuel and Ethanol (plant-derived
substitutes of gasoline for powering vehicles)

How can I help?How can I help?
1. Get active
2. Know what damage you're doing and get to be an expert!
3. Why drive when you can walk?!
4. Make your own climate! (When it's hot, dress cool; When it's cool, dress hot!)
5. Shop locally. (If you can, buy your food from local farm shops and try and avoid imported goods)
6. Get your parents to change their driving habits... and their cars
7. Solar/wind energy is free
8. Eating: Learn to cook! Home cooking is not only fun, it means you don't have to drive to a takeaway or fast food restaurant
9. Reduce, reuse, recycle: Remember your three Rs!
10. Turn off and shut it!
11. Psst! Don't keep this a secret
