First we have to explain what is a Marketing research. It’s "the process or set of processes that links the consumers, customers, and end users to the marketer through information . Information used to identify and define marketing opportunities and problems; generate, refine, and evaluate marketing actions; monitor marketing performance; and improve understanding of marketing as a process. Marketing research specifies the information required to address these issues, designs the method for collecting information, manages and implements the data collection process, analyzes the results, and communicates the findings and their implications.

So for our survey, we want know if third year students of University of Mangement will continue their masters in Lodz. To have a concrete result, we would like to have a sample of 30 students. And to have a qualitative result, we also would like to know why they want to continue or why they want to stop or leave. So we prepar a questionnaire to get this informations. The two first questions is to check if we have the good person panel.

Then, we wanted to know if the student comes from Erasmus or if he is a polish student. Because of course, Erasmus student are supposed to stay for one semester or one year so it can’t really fit with the survey. But some erasmus students have the opportunity to continue their master here because of the partnership between their mother university and the university of Lodz. It’s why we also ask the Erasmus students.

Unfortunetly we just had 17 answers for our survey, so we will analyse the few answers. In this 17 answers, 9 were Erasmus students and 8 polish students.

Interpretation of the results:

First, almost 60% of all the students don’t want to continue their masters in Lodz University of Management. Much of these student are Erasmus students, only 10% want to stay to continue in master level. While almost 90% of Polish students want to continue in Lodz university.

The main reason of leaving for Erasmus students is that they don’t have the opportunity to continue (because of there is no partnership uni for master level) and because they prefer do their masters in other countries as China and USA.

The reasons of stating for Polish students are very different. For some it’s a problem of money. And for others, they prefer stay in Lodz because they think that there is a lot work to do in Poland while there is not a lot of opportunities in very developing countries of Estern Europe for example.
