ANALYZINGANDREPORTINGTHESURVEYRESULTS

Both partners did this survey: in class CM2 cole de la Gazelle 30 children, in class 5.a Primary School ofMak 20 children.

The survey is checking the project results and the pupils relationship to the working process. These aremultiple choice questions with very simple answers fitted to the age of 10-12 years old children.

Results:

1. Videoconferencing: CM2: Very good. 5.a: Very goodThis way or type of communication and cooperation was very popular for the pupils. The fact thatthey can see and hear each other at the same time is a big motivation for the common work.

2. Cooperation of the two classes in work: CM2: Very good 5.a: Very goodThis cooperation was very successful in learning together: e.g. English or songs before Christmas etc.

3. Practicing the English language: CM2: Very good 5.a: OKThe common work provided several facilities, situations to practice the English language. First theywere scared to have a conversation or a dialogue with their penpals. But after a talking (which theyprepared with personal questions), they had a real sense of achievement.The answer of 5.a is OK because they would have liked to have more facilities for talking.

4. Improving our English: CM2: Very good 5.a: Very goodAs neither of the classes have got English as native language, they could help each other in the samemerit. They were braver to express themselves in different topics and prepared the common lessons

thoroughly. They noted the new words and expressions of the videolessons forever.

5. Chatting: CM2: Weak 5.a: OKWe cant really evaluate this activity because we had no time for more than one chatting. It wasenjoyable and everybody fulfilled the task and discussed and answered the planned questions.

6. Making friendships: CM2: OK 5.a: Very goodTime problem again. Although the most exciting thing was chosing and creating the penpartners andtalking with them in front of the webcamera, making friendship for a longer period of time needsmore time. They are too young to continue these connections without an adults help.

7. Good fun? CM2: Very good 5.a: Very good

Children felt that they were playing games and not working on a serious project.

8. Work on the magic machine: CM2: Very good 5.a: Very goodThey are very creative children and they had the facility to realize their ideas.

Very good, because the children suggested the topics. Always the monitoring class decided about thetheme of the videolesson.

10. Have you become an eco-citizen? CM2: Yes. 5.a: Yes.The answer is yes, but they attached a note to it: we think so.
