Loretta created a survey which she gave to three 16 year old

female students. This survey is based on the original draft of

our opening two minutes.

Page 2: Survey feedback

All three girls recognised our opening two minutes as a

romantic comedy, therefore meeting their expectations of

other romantic comedies .

Page 3: Survey feedback

All three girls found the camera angles attractive, while only two felt as though

the differentiation of shots were an attractive editing decision, and only one girl

found the camera movement and rhythm of shots to be appealing. This showed

us that the cutting rhythm could be edited to fit the music more, and our future

filming could involve more camera movement such as panning and crabbing.

Page 4: Survey feedback

All three girls felt as though our use of sound was appropriate.

Page 5: Survey feedback

All girls recognised part of our opening two minutes as corresponding with the

romantic comedy genre. One girl found the fast cutting rhythm to be familiar,

one girl found the miss-en-scene similar to that in romantic comedies (high key

lighting and bright colours). Finally one girl found the camera angles and

movement to be common in romantic comedies.

Page 6: Survey feedback

Two of the three girls were intrigued as to what would happen next and were

interested in seeing what happened next

Page 7: Survey feedback

The girls found the location (mise-en-scene), titling and storyline to be

appealing

Page 8: Survey feedback

All three girls felt as though the mise-en-scene corresponded with their

expectations of romantic comedies.

Page 9: Survey feedback

Two of the three girls found our rough cut to be very professional, however one

girl only found our opening two minutes to be moderately proffesional. This

shows that our film could use improving so that the film is more seamless and

professional.

Page 10: Survey feedback

Two of the three girls felt as though they only got a moderate idea about what

the film would be about. This shows that the audience needs to see more of the

protagonist individually.
