This July, Surface Gallery is proud to welcome back ‘eight’, it’s annual exhibition showcasing the recent projects of the Surface Studio dwellers. The 'eight' artists contributing to this show are a studio group, established within Surface Gallery; one of the leading contemporary art spaces in the East Midlands, showing both local and international visual art and supporting the professional development of artists, curators and people wishing to work in the arts. The exhibit showcases the talents of the eight artists and their new artworks comprising of a multitude of different mediums, varying from sculpture to photography, to fine art and illustration. ‘eight’ ties eight diverse artists together through their shared workspace in the surface gallery studios and presents their contrasting art work as a creative collective.
