THIS USER MANUAL HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR PUBLIC RELEASE BY THE DEFENSE OFFICE OF PREPUBLICATION AND SECURITY REVIEW

1. Visually and physically inspect chamber of host weapon to confirm it is unloaded and on SAFE. Remove magazine from host weapon. Remove all live am munition from weapon and work area.

2. Secure host weapon per manufacturer’s specifications and remove existing flash hider/muzzle brake, spacers, shims and/or washers. Use only SureFire supplied product for in-stallation. DO NOT reuse factory shims, spacers or washers removed from host weapon.

• Acetone or any residue-free degreaser• Cleaning cloth• Cotton swabs• Torque wrench, with 3/4” open-end wrench adapter or M16 barrel wrench

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Note: Shims may be used to orient adapter for specific rotational timing, if desired.

1. Visually and physically inspect chamber of host weapon to confirm it is unloaded and on SAFE. Remove magazine from host weapon. Remove all live am munition from weapon and work area.

2. Secure host weapon per manufacturer’s specifications and remove existing flash hider/muzzle brake, spacers, shims and/or washers. Use only SureFire supplied product for installation. DO NOT reuse factory shims, spacers or washers removed from host weapon.

3. Apply acetone/degreaser to threads on muzzle end of host weapon barrel. Use cleaning cloth and/or stiff-bristled nylon brush to remove all debris and residue from threads. Repeat this process to remove all debris and residue from the threads of the suppressor adapter. Rocksett will not adhere to threads if surface is not dry and stripped clean of debris and residue.

5. Torque suppressor adapter to 20-30 ft lbs (or 2.77-4.15 metric kilograms). Use a torque wrench and open-ended crow’s foot or armorer’s tool.

6. Allow Rocksett to cure for 24 hours before firing host weapon.

3. Note: This procses is critical to ensure proper installation and function of all suppressor adapters that require shims and/or spacers. Beveled spacer with chamfered inside diameter must always be used to insure proper adapter alignment if included with shim kit. Always use spacer with chamfer facing barrel shoulder before installing other shims, as required, when timing a suppressor adapter to a barrel with a 90-degree shoulder behind threads.

Time the index tab on the suppressor adapter to bottom dead center (BDC), Reference the Timing Wheel Selection Chart for assistance with proper shim selection for installation. A combination of shims may be required to properly time the index tab to BDC.

4. Refer to Figure 1 for proper shim placement and installation. Thread suppressor adapter and any required shims onto barrel until hand tight.

5. Torque suppressor adapter to 20-30 lb.-ft. (or 2.77-4.15 metric kilograms). To tighten suppressor adapter onto barrel threads, use a torque wrench and

open-ended crow’s foot or armorer’s tool. When suppressor index tab on adapter is bottom dead center (BDC), move on to step 6.

6. Remove suppressor adapter and any shims and/or spacers. Apply acetone/degreaser to threads on muzzle end of host weapon barrel. Use cleaning cloth and/or stiff-bristled nylon brush to remove all debris and residue from threads. Repeat this process to remove all debris and residue from the threads of the suppressor adapter. Rocksett will not adhere to threads if surface is not dry and stripped clean of debris and residue.

8. Hold weapon with muzzle pointed up. Place required shims and suppressor adapter onto barrel. Hold shims in place to keep them centered while threading suppressor adapter onto barrel threads until hand tight.

9. Torque suppressor adapter to 20-30 lb.-ft. (or 2.77-4.15 metric kilograms). Properly installed, the index tab will be at bottom dead center (BDC).

10. Allow Rocksett to cure for 24 hours before firing host weapon.

Note: When timing an adapter with shims placed at the end of the barrel, drop shims into flash hider and make sure they are flat. Point muzzle of weapon down while screwing suppressor adapter with shims onto barrel threads.

WARRANTYSureFire warrants our suppressors and suppressor related products to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for the lifetime of the original owner. We will repair, replace, or refund your original purchase price of a product if it is determined by SureFire to be defective. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage to the suppressor resulting in whole or in part from unauthorized repairs, unstable or non-SAAMI/NATO specification ammunition, abuse, misuse, or neglect. Unwarranted repairs to the suppressor, including but not limited to core rebuilds, made necessary by any of these factors will be invoiced to the owner who will be given the right to approve such work before it commences. BSD’s and BFA’s are designed to be used with blank ammunition only. Any damage due to live fired rounds is not covered by this warranty and cannot be repaired. SureFire assumes no responsibility whatsoever and will honor no claims for damages, regardless of nature, for physical injury or property damage resulting from careless and/or irresponsible handling, adjustments to the suppressor and/or suppressor related products, neglect or abuse.
