When Allah SWT gives us taqwa then He makes us to taste the

sweetness of His closeness and we should never ignore this once

Ramadhan is over – and that is only possible when we know Allah

SWT and His actions and attributes – we get close to Him through

knowing Him because He is the One who has created the heavens and the earth and everything in between

in exact measurement as Allah SWT says in Surah Furqan Ayah 2.

The days and the nights of Ramadhan are blessings of Allah SWT ( ) because He

wants us to feel the beauty of purified heart and taqwa only for His sake but we

should be careful about the fact that we do this not only in Ramadhan but always as

we are servants of Allah SWT and not the servants of Ramadhan - don’t be the ones

who know Allah SWT only in this month; always be attached to Quran – hold it and ask Allah SWT for

help.

Allah SWT knows even the movements of our heart – Allah

SWT says in Surah Furqan that He is the one who knows all the secrets of the

heavens and the earth – nothing is hidden from Him so we need to be watchful of

the movements of our hearts. We need to be aware of the fitnah and the trials in

our lives – Ramadhan is like an intense course in taqwa and when we come out of it then we have to apply

the taqwa to control our hearts to face the trials of the remaining eleven months –

and the biggest fitnah we face is given in Surah Furqan Ayah 20 – Allah SWT

has made each other as fitnah for us and we have enemies in these:

addition to the enemies outside we are facing the enemy within oneself as

will be wasted on a day when there will be recompense and everybody will

be standing in front of Allah SWT so the only objective should be to take

Quran as our companion seeking Allah’s help to continue moving on the

right path.

The days and the nights of Ramadhan were so beautiful with Quran as our companion and who would want

to discontinue that blessing – as the month comes to end there is a mixed feeling – feeling of happiness and

fear – nothing we can do except praying Allah SWT to accept our deeds and we hasten towards You so that

You accept – we don’t want to lose the feeling of joy in this month and take with us the feeling even

afterwards and pray Allah SWT to give the feeling of Ramadhan even after it and the joy of worshipping

Him with the same delight Ameen.

What to do after Ramadhan?

• Repenting and seeking forgiveness – receiving the

month of Ramadhan and bidding farewell should be with purified heart with the repentance and seeking

forgiveness – there are so much shortcomings and deficiencies in our ibadah that we can never fulfill the

rights of Allah SWT but out of His Mercy he has granted us the repentance and accepts our incomplete and

deficient ibadah SubhanAllah. Allah SWT says in Surah An Nisa Ayah 106 ‘And seek forgiveness of

Allah. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful ‘

Advices from Quran after Ramadhan:

� don’t rejoice with the duniya and yourself – as in the story of Qarun – if

you want to feel happy then feel happy with Allah SWT and His bounties always grateful to Him and asking

His help – duniya takes us away from the goal;

� seek with the blessings Allah SWT has bestows upon us the Paradise – use

the resources as means to reach the Paradise;

� don’t forget your share of this duniya –Allah SWT gives us the blessings for us

to be grateful to Him and use these blessings to get closer to Him;

� be good as Allah SWT is good to us; good to ourselves by doing His ibadah

with ihsaan;

� don’t spread mischief in the land and indulge in the sins

because Allah SWT does not love the ones who spread mischief and sin;


� Reward with Allah SWT is better

that reward Allah SWT has kept for the
