SUPRANITE ® PACKING 242 CP AS is composed with an expanded SUPRANITE ® NGN 02 AS

(PMUC N°17-0077) graphite tape reinforced with Inconel ®.

The reinforced yarns are then braided to produce SUPRANITE ® PACKING 242 CP AS.

After precompression, the small thickness of the SUPRANITE ® PACKING 242 CP AS rings allows a larger effective seal height and limits friction.

Made of SUPRANITE ® NGN 02 AS graphite, SUPRANITE ® PACKING 242 CP AS limits corrosion thanks to very low sulphur and halogens contents.

SUPRANITE ® PACKING 242 CP AS can be delivered either in boxes containing lengths (coils), or in pre-compressed rings alone, or in complete sets with rings of SUPRANITE ® NGN 02 AS or SUPRANITE ® PACKING 251 VR AS.

SUPRANITE ® PACKING 242 CP AS is the graphite based braided packing approved by EDF (PMUC N° 17-0170) for the use of top and bottom rings or on/off valve stem sealing set, in nuclear and classical power plants.

The precompressed rings of SUPRANITE ® PACKING 242 CP AS can be used either with

SUPRANITE ® NGN 02 AS moulded rings (PMUC N°17-0077) or with SUPRANITE ® PACKING 251 VR AS (PMUC N°17-0019) for control valves.
