We’ve forged a great partnership,” Topham says. Agrocorp International is headquartered in Singapore and the company moved one million metric tonnes of agricultural commodities from Canada to the Indian Sub Continent, China, the Middle East, Mexico and South America in the 2013 crop year. Topham explains that CN offered close cooperation from day one, helping Agrocorp achieve their goals, as their business in Canada becomes the center of Agrocorp’s global investment strategy. In addition, the Saskatchewan and Alberta provincial and municipal governments have been incredibly sup- portive; the City of Moose Jaw provided a five-year tax abatement on the project which led to an immediate expansion project.
