Subject- Issuance of free parking passes

The work of operation and management of 25 paid parking lots and

one Multi Level Parking in Chandigarh has been allotted to Ms Arya Toll Infra Ltd

Mumbai on 19062017 vide this office memo no 686 dated 16062017

As per past practice the free parking passes Stickers were issued to

the Councillors officers Gallantry award winners who are resident of Chandigarh

and identity card of the other staff of MC was valid for free parking In addition to

it free parking pass stickers were also issued to all AS PS IFSPCS HCS amp DSPs

posted in Chandigarh Administration as per decision taken by General House of

MCC in its 224th meeting held on 30112015

The Finance amp Contract Committee in its 270th meeting held on

16032017 has pass the following resolution-

t was resolved that two free parking passes be issued to the Councillors one pass for officers upto level of ]Es and one pass each to the accredited press reporter of leading newspapers

After implementation of the decision of FampCC the requests of the

different category of the officers of the Chandigarh Administration Raj Bhawan

and officersemployees of the MCC for issuance of free passes In above

mentioned decision of FampCC it was not clear as to whether free parking passes be

issued to Officers of Chandigarh Administration

Accordingly matter was discussed with the officers and it was

decided by the officers to issue free parking sticker for all official vehicle and 05

no smart card for personnel use to Governor Adviser Home Secretary and

Finance Secretary In addition to it free parking sticker for official vehicle and 2

smart card will also be issued to MP and all AS PS IFSPCS HCS Chief Engineer

LR Chief Architect amp DSPs posted in Chandigarh Administration 01 free smart

parking pass will also be issued to the Gallantry Award winners who are resident

of Chandigarh

Further matter of issuing free parking passes to the officers and

employees of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh was discussed and it was decided

that 01 sticker will be issued for each official vehicle attached with upto the level

of SDOs and vehicle of general pool of MCC It was also decided that 02 free smart

parking passes for personnel use will also be issued to Chief Engineer MCC and

SEs of MCC

It was also decided that officersemployees of Municipal

Corporation Chandigarh having Grade Pay of Rs4800 - or above will also be

eligible for 01 free smart parking pass

In view of the position as explained abo the matter is placed

before FampCC for consideration and further orders pie se

Subject Policy regarding supply and fixing of open air gym of fitness

equipment in various parks and garden of Chandigarh

In the 274th meeting of the Finance amp Contract Committee meeting held

on 19072017 vide agenda item no 5 it was resolved that open air gym will not to

be installed in neighbourhood parks However the concept of open air gym has

gained lot of popularity in the public and as such numbers of requests are being

received from the area councillors to install open air gyms even in the

neighbourhood parks Since there are more than 1800 small neighbourhood parks in

the city and installation of open air gyms in these parks will require approximately

Rs 4500 crore on the present day rates being received Since number of other

important works are also required to executed on various other schemes under

different heads it is therefore proposed that installation of open air gym should be

limited to parks having area 15 acre or above in the city parks and in more than

05 acre parks in villages and colonies

Matter is placed before the Finance amp Contract Committee for its

consideration and decision please

- Rough cost estimate for development of vendors sites under Roads Division No2 MC Chandigarh

(Approx Amount - Rs4120 lacs)

The rough cost estimate for development of vendors sites under Roads Division

No2 MC Chandigarh has been framed to facilitate the streets vendors The Chief Architect

UT Chandigarh vide letter Memo NoT-71STP-20176153 dated 31072017 has earmarked

the site for street vendors The site was inspected by the undersigned alongwith SOE concerned

and it has been found that the sites are feasible for the same

Accordingly a rough cost estimate amounting to Rs4120 lacs has been prepared

for arranging administrative approval and allotment of funds The scope of the work entered in

the estimate has not been included in any earlier approved estimate

The expenditure on this work shall be charged under Head Deposit Work

The Agenda is placed before the Finance amp Contract Committee for its

Rough Cost Estimate for Providing and fixing paver blocks on the street vending zone in Sector 7 to 11 Chandigarh (For identifying street vending zone)

(Amount Rs 1121 lacs)

The rough cost estimate has been prepared for providing the basic

facilities for identifying the sitesize of street vendor in the Sector 7 to 11 This estimate

has been framed on direction of worthy Commissioner MC Chandigarh dated

2209 2017 The site has been inspected by the undersigned along with the S D E amp J E

and found that the work is feasible at site

Accordingly the rough cost estimate amounting to Rs 1121 lacs has been

prepared for Providing and fixing paver blocks on the street vending zone in Sector 7

to 11 Chandigarh (For identifying street vending zone) This Estimate is submitted for

arranging administrative approval and allotment of funds under the appropriate head of

1 Earth work in excavation and its carriage 2 Dismantling of paver blocks 3 Providing and laying cement concrete 1 8 16 4 Providing and fixing 60mm thick paver 5 Providing and fixing PCC kerbs

It is certified that scope of work taken in this estimate has not earlier included in any

of the estimate

The expenditure on this work will be charged under Head Deposit work The

budget est imate budget allocation amount of already approved estimate and expenditure under

having area appox 6062 Sft on 2 nd Floor in Mahila Bhawan Sector 38-C Chandigarh

may be given to Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Academy Chandigarh Sahitya Academy

and Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy on rentallease basis Following Halls and Rooms

may be allotted to these academies as detailed below -

It was proposed by the Chairmen of different acade m ies that the above

accommodation may be earmarked as detailed above as per plan attached and rent to

be charged from each academy Rs50000 - per mo~th + G ST This will be

e xcludin g Electricity and Water c harges for which separate S u b Meters will installed

which each academy will h ave t o pay separately I t is further add ed that t h e r e will be

increase i n rent 5 p er annum and this accommodation is p rop osed t o be teased

The Chief Architect UT Chandigarh has requested to the Commissioner Municipal

Corporation Chandigarh vide their office letter memo No T-71STP-20176153 dated 31072017

for earmarking of sites for street vendors The site was inspected by the undersigned alongwith

SDER-1 SDER-6 and SDER-10 and it was noticed that the site is feasible

Accordingly this rough cost estimate for amounting Rs 4755 lac has been prepared

by taking the items explained in the scope of work

The expenditure on this work will be charged under Head Deposit Work The

budget estimate budget allocation amount of already approved estimate and expenditure under this

Head for Roads Division No l

The following scope of work has been taken in this estimates-

_ Subject Rough cost estimate for PF perforated cement concrete grass paver blocks on road berm over left out space around green belts in Sector 34 amp 44 Chandigarh


The inspection of Sector 34 amp 44 was carried out by the undersigned alongwith

SDER-10 and observed that paver blocks pavement have already been provided over road berm

around Green Belts in Sector 34 amp 44 Chandigarh As per guide lines approved by the Municipal

Corporation green pavers are to be provided around parks in balance portion where pavers have

already been provided upto 6 width and thus it is proposed to provide perforated cement concrete

grass pavers over left out spaces around green belts The area councillor has also requested to

provide green pavers on road benn over left out space around parks The provision taken in the

estimate is as per MC policy



The expenditure on this work will be charged under Head 421 7 (P) Imp of road

parking places amp Inf facilities The budget estimate budget allocation amount of already

approved estimate and expenditure under this Head for Roads Division No I is as under
