the SUNJET II platform offers

Getting Started - Quick Guide

Create an account on the SUNJET II platform through the

www.sunjet-project.eu website. You may choose to register as

an individual or an organisation/institution. Upon registration

you will be required to provide some basic information

depending on the chosen profile type. All registered profiles

will be published online and will be available for SUNJET II

registered members to see. You can change your profile at any

time.

While creating your profile you can state:

what kind of technology/product/ expertise you are

interested in

what kind of cooperation you are looking for

which ideas you would like to discuss with potential

collaboration partners

The system will later perform matchmaking among users

with the same interests. The better the quality of your

profile the more collaboration requests you will receive.

Any registered member can start a conversation and create a

working space where other members can participate and

exchange ideas around specific topics in the field of aviation.

You may choose a topic from a predefined list, based on the

ACARE-ASTERA taxonomy, start a discussion, share files

related to the topic and see if this could lead on a specific

project or initiative you could be focusing on.

Event scheduling

For gathering opinions on documents, you may share a

file (e.g. scientific paper, presentation), create a poll,

provide possible choices and invite your team asking for

For online group chats and presentation sharing use the

web conference tool. The platform integrates the

BigBlueButton open source web conferencing system in

order to enable real-time sharing of audio, video, slides,

chat, and desktop.

Integrating Other NetworksThe SUNJET II network is connected to other international networks related to aviation.

These networks are providing data and enriching the SUNJET II database with individual

and organisation profiles. In this manner, a partner search in the platform will fetch

profiles matching the filters not only from the SUNJET II database, but also from the

databases of the connected to the platform networks. At the moment, SUNJET II

incorporates data from EASN, the European Aeronautics Science Network, as well as

IFAR, the International Forum for Aviation Research, networks.

ABOUT US

The SUNJET II consortium is composed of 7

partners, Airbus Group Innovations, Aerospace

Valley, BAE Systems Ltd, DLR, EASN-TIS, NLR,

ONERA, with long experience in cooperation

with Japan through various joint projects. The

consortium is also working in close cooperation

and supported by Japanese mirror

organizations, including the Society of Japanese

Aerospace Companies (SJAC), the Japan Aircraft

Development Corporation (JADC), the Japan

Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), the

University of Tokyo and Chubu Aerospace

Industry and Technology Center (C-ASTEC).
