She has a Visharad (degree) from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, and prides herself in being a purist from the Indore Gharana, a distinctively meditative and serene style of Khayal presentation, as institututed by Ustad Amir Khan. Ramneek has given numerous performances in India and North America, and teaches advanced Vocal Hindustani Music. Suresh Ramaswamy started learning tabla from Shri.Nishikant Barodekar of Pune (Grandson of Smt. Hirabai Badodekar and senior disciple of Ustd. Alla Rakha Khan Saheb) since 1996. He is currently under the guidance of Pt. Kiran Deshpande (The renowned Tabla Maestro and Disciple of Ustad Sheik Dawood Khan Saheb). Suresh has had the opportunity to provide Tabla Sangat for many esteemed Hindustani Vocal and instrumental artistes in may notable Music Festivals / Concerts in India Nagesh is local to the DC metro area and has been mostly a self taught Harmonium player. He assumed initial training in music from his mother. He later got guidance and direction for a few years from harmonium great Pt. Appasaheb Jalgaonkar.
