EIGHTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Entrance Antiphon [Ps 70 (69):2, 6] O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me! You are my rescuer, my help; O Lord, do not delay.
First Reading Isaiah 55:1–3 Psalm Psalm 145:8–9, 15–18 R. The hand of the Lord feeds us; he answers all our needs. Second Reading Romans 8:35, 37–39 Gospel Matthew 14:13–21 Prayer of the Faithful: Diocesan Healing Prayer
O MERCIFUL FATHER, Your Son in Love stretched out his hands upon the cross to embrace us. Embrace and heal our brothers and sisters who carry the wounds of abuse inflicted upon them. Heal Your Church broken by this betrayal of trust. Cleanse and sanctify Your Clergy that they may radiate the selfless love of Your Son. And strengthen and call the people of the Church throughout Western New York to a new dawn of hope and grace in your Holy Spirit. We ask this through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen
Communion Antiphon [Ps 103 (102):2]
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and never forget all his benefits.
Or: [Mt 5:7–8]
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Blessed are the clean of heart, for they shall see God.
St. Michael the Archangel Prayer
V. Saint Michael the Archangel, R. defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray: and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Prayer of Spiritual Communion (LIVE STREAMING
MASSES ONLY)
My Jesus, I believe that you are
present in the most Blessed
Sacrament. I love You above all
things and I desire to receive
You into my soul. Since I cannot now
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there,
and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be
separated from You. Amen.

Sunday, July 26, 2020 — Dear Parishioners, On account of the situation with COVID-19 I did not get an
opportunity to take a good deal of my vacation time. At this point in the fiscal year I have only taken 17 days out
the 31 days I am allowed by Canon Law. With the close of the fiscal year looming on August 31 — if I do not take
them now, I will lose them. So I will be taking Vacation Days throughout the weekdays of August (not counting
my normal Wednesday day off). - Fr. Dennis
