Hall meet on March 30The silver jubilee get-together of the past students of

the Ramanathan Hall, University of Ceylon, Peradeniya will be held on Sunday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It will be held at the Police Families’ Welfare Associa-tion Hall, Joseph Frazer Road, Colombo 5, next to the police Officers Mess.

'Creations par Excellence of 50 Wedding Cakes' by Orancy Siriwardene was launched recently under the patronage of First Lady, Shiranthi Rajapaksa, parliamentarians and a large gathering at Eagle's Lakeside, Attidiya. The hard cover book is a selection of 50 Orancy's creations from the thousands made over the years.

Senior Advisor to the World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth-Sri Lanka Siri Deva Kumara Semage received the prestigious award'World Buddhist Outstanding Leader Award' from Thailand recently. The Asia Foundation will develop Municipal Councils and Urban Councils in the Eastern Province under a project funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The Panadura Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society (MPCS) launched a scheme to deposit Rs. 500 in savings books which were presented to mothers of newly born infants at the Pana-dura Kethumathi Women's Hos-pital.
