Healing of the Blind Man
MISSION STATEMENT We, the people of Saint Maron Parish, form a community of disci-
ples dedicated to a shared faith and common life which exemplifies
the life, works, and teaching of Jesus Christ as reflected in the Sa-
cred Scriptures and the Maronite Catholic Tradition. Our Parish life
and mission are to proclaim the Gospel, to foster and strengthen the
faith, and to evangelize. Our covenant of discipleship with Jesus
Christ is fulfilled through liturgy, education, and service.
Hossanna Week
Stations of the Cross and the Veneration of the Holy Cross:
The object of the Stations is to help the faithful to make a spiritual pil-
grimage of prayer, through meditating upon the chief
scenes of Christ’s suffering and death.
The services will be held every Friday during the Great Season of
Lent, at 6:30 pm in the Church on Carnegie Ave.
Father Tony, It is said that home is where the heart
is. After ordination as a Maronite

St. Patrick: Apostle of Ireland, born
at Kilpatrick, near Dumbarton, in
Scotland, in the year 387; died at
Saul, Downpatrick, Ireland, 17
March, 461. As a boy of fourteen or
so, he was captured during a raiding
party and taken to Ireland as a slave to herd and tend
sheep. Ireland at this time was a land of Druids and
pagans. He learned the language and practices of the
people who held him. During his captivity, he
turned to God in prayer. Patrick began preaching the
Gospel throughout Ireland, converting many. He
and his disciples preached and converted thousands
and began building churches all over the country.
Kings, their families, and entire kingdoms converted
to Christianity when hearing Patrick's message. Pat-
rick used the shamrock to explain the Trinity, and
has been associated with him and the Irish since.

A reading from the Second Letter of Paul to the Corinthians 2 Cor 10:1-7
Brothers and sisters,
I myself, Paul, appeal to you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold towards you when I am away! I ask that when I am present I need not show boldness by daring to oppose those who think we are acting according to human standards. Indeed, we live as human be-ings, but we do not wage war according to human standards; for the weapons of our warfare are not merely human, but they have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every proud obstacle raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ. We are ready to punish every disobedience when your obedience is complete. Look at what is before your eyes. If you are confident that you belong to Christ, remind yourself of this, that just as you belong to Christ, so also do we. Praise be to God Always!
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 10,46-52.
They came to Jericho. As he and his disciples and a large crowd were leaving Jericho, Bartimaeus son of Timaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the roadside. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout out and say, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!’ Many sternly ordered him to be quiet, but he cried out even more loudly, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me!’ Jesus stood still and said, ‘Call him here.’ And they called the blind man, saying to him, ‘Take heart; get up, he is calling you.’ So throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus. Then Jesus said to him, ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ The blind man said to him, ‘My teacher, let me see again.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Go; your faith has made you well.’ Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.
This is the Truth. Peace be with you!
