Some food for your soul to pray and reflect on this week.

THE SECRET TO FORGIVENESS

The secret to forgiveness and salvation is love; the true Christian is

filled with God's love and uses that love to impact others. That love

is patient, kind, forgiving, helpful, courteous, selfless, and is

offered freely. It is a simple message really. It's not about money,

fame, advancing self-interests, it’s about the first being last, and

the last being first. The old self must die, a new self-born in its

place.

ACT OF FAITH

O my God, I firmly believe that you are one God in three divine

Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that your divine

Son became Man, died for our sins, and that he will come to judge

the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the

Holy Catholic Church teaches, because you have revealed them,

who can neither deceive nor be deceived.

ACT OF HOPE

O my God, relying on your almighty power and infinite mercy and

promises, I hope to obtain pardon of my sins, the help of your

grace, and life everlasting through the merits of Jesus Christ, my

Lord and Redeemer.

ACT OF CHARITY

O my God, I love you above all things, with my whole heart and

soul, because you are all-good and worthy of all love. I love my

neighbor as myself for the love of you. I forgive all who have

injured me and ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Amen.

This weekend we are resuming the 6pm Sunday Mass in our

beautiful church. Similar to the other weekend masses, 4:30pm

indoors and 8:30 & 11:30am drive-up, you need to visit our parish

website, www.StJamesStartford.com, or call the parish center to

reserve a parking spot or place inside.

Please continue to stay safe and support our Parish with your

treasure. THANK YOU!

Your servant in Christ, Fr. Peter

St. James Women’s Ministry- Zoom Meeting!

Saturday, July 25, 10a.m.-11:00a.m. Join us as we support one another through prayer and

discussion! More information will be coming in next week’s bulletin, website and emails about our

virtual gathering.

Beloved Sons—Jim Travers, Bob Carriero, Tom Gilbertie, Jeff Noccioli, Mike Curran

Needless to say our twice/monthly Beloved Sons gatherings took (and are still taking) quite the hiatus

during the Corona-Covid pandemic; and it appears that it still may be some time to go as well before we can comfortably and safely get together, in person at the parish center to resume these gatherings. During the last three months we were able to have several digital ZOOM gatherings where guys logged in and were able

to share and discuss an upcoming Gospel story. If that is something you are interested in please call/text

(203-526-4105) or email ([email protected]) Jim Travers and we'll be sure to invite you to the next digital Beloved Sons gathering as well as keep you informed

as we get closer to resuming those parish center gatherings. Knowing that we are all looking forward to seeing each other face-to-face sometime soon; we can at least (in the interim) log -in, un-mute and share the

Gospel of Christ, the good word.

And that always is a GOoD thing!
