Because Sun Valley introduced America to downhill sports 75 years ago, traditions are pretty important to us. And you can’t get much more traditional than cross-country (Nordic) skiing—it’s been around since prehistoric times. The sport has come a long way since then, and you’ll find it at its most evolved at our Nordic & Snowshoe Center. Nearly 25 miles of groomed trails range from “easy does it” to “feel the burn,” so there’s plenty of fun for everyone at every level. The trail system is at just 6,000 feet, so you can enjoy the fresh air without gasping for it. And our state-of-the-art Clubhouse has everything you need to complete the experience—training programs, clinics, rentals and a comfortable place to hang out before heading out.

Try a Winter WalkaboutWant to try something different this winter? Strap on some snowshoes and take a hike. There’s no better way to take in the stunning views and terrain that Sun Valley is blessed with. No better way to spend time with your family, either. It’s fun, affordable and easy. Just rent your gear at our Nordic & Snowshoe Center, and you’re good to go.
