PATRONS for TOMORROW, our planned giving society, was established to recognize those who have made provisions for a planned gift to Summit School. Planned giving can help you realize important tax benefits while making a significant contribution to the school.

Patrons for Tomorrow support the school’s long-term strategic planning initiatives, enhanced programs, capital improvements, and the delivery of Summit’s six promises.

With careful planning, your charitable gift to Summit School may provide steady income for you or a family member, offer income tax deductions, enable you to avoid capital gains taxes on highly appreciated property, or help you reduce estate and gift taxes.

You can support Summit School and become a Patron for Tomorrow in any of the following ways:

Make a bequest or gift through your estate by including a provision in your will or living trust. This can be in the form of cash, stock, real estate, or other assets and be designated as a percentage or fixed amount.

Name Summit School as a beneficiary of a retirement plan or life insurance policy. You may designate the amount as a percentage of the assets or as a specific dollar amount.

IRA CHARITABLE ROLLOVER

CUSTOMIZED

Transfer funds directly from your IRA to Summit. If you are a donor aged 70 ½ or older, gifts up to $100,000 are eligible as part of your minimum required distribution and are not included in your gross income.

Ask your trusted estate advisor about other planned giving vehicles, like a Charitable Lead Trust or Charitable Remainder Trust, that fit your philanthropic and family legacy goals.

At Summit School, we welcome charitable gifts of all sizes, and we keep all shared information strictly confidential. All gifts, regardless of size, contribute to the legacy of our future students. While donors are not required to share specific details regarding planned gifts or bequests, many choose to do so for the purpose of informing long-range strategic planning.
