A market leader in the field of technical training for over a decade, is glad to organize a workshop on embedded systems to shape the career of bright students and to turn them into great engineers. We hope to have a good time with you..!!!
Your concern and co-operation is highly valuable to us.___________
Team CETPA
WELCOME

Engineering is one of the most prestigious professions across the world. In an opinion “CONVERTING REQUIREMENTS INTO FACILITIES IS ENGINERING”.
The role of embedded system engineers has taken a highly valuable space in the world of innovations.
ROBOTICS
What is Engineering?
![Page 4: Summer training robotics 2010](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022061222/54c1371d4a795927748b45c9/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
• Robotics is the study of robots.
• Robotics is the creation of machines that performs tasks instead of humans beings.
• Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction and application of robots.
ROBOTICS
What is Robotics?
![Page 7: Summer training robotics 2010](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022061222/54c1371d4a795927748b45c9/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Embedded systems are the micro-processor/micro-controller based computing/control systems which are designed to perform a specific task.
Hence embedded system engineers are to design a special purpose system with the provided constraints.
ROBOTICS

Re-Programmable systems
• General purpose systems i.e. a single system can perform variety of operations.
• System designer decides the features and their strength.
•Bulky and costly.
Embedded systems
• Designed to perform a specific task. i.e. a limited operations.
• Features of the system are constrained.
• Comparatively optimized.
e.g. Personal computers, Laptops etc.
e.g. Calculators, Robots, Automation control etc.
Microprocessor Based System

General-Purpose Microprocessor System
Microprocessors CPU for Computers No RAM, ROM, I/O on CPU chip itself Example: Intel’s x86, Motorola’s 680x0

General-Purpose Micro-processor
RAM ROM I/O Port

Microprocessor
•Contains only CPU; RAM, ROM, I/O, timer are separately interfaced.•Designer decides on the amount of ROM, RAM and I/O ports.•Expansive•General-purpose
Microcontroller
• CPU, RAM, ROM, I/O and timer are all on a single chip
• Fix amount of on-chip ROM, RAM, I/O ports
• For applications in which cost, power and space are critical
• Single-purpose
Microprocessor vs. Microcontroller

• Minimization Of Circuit.• Reliable• Power Efficient• Production when done even on Medium-
scale is cost effective
What are the benefits of embedded systems?
