Introduction to IT Industry:The IT industry has not only transformed India's image on the global platform, but has also fuelled economic growth by energizing the higher education sector especially in engineering and computer science. India's cost competitiveness in providing IT services, which is approximately 3-4 times cheaper than the US, continues to be its unique selling proposition (USP) in the global sourcing market.

The Indian IT and ITES industry is divided into four major segments IT services, business process management (BPM), software products and engineering services, and hardware.

Introduction to IT Industry:Indias internet economy is expected to touch Rs 10 trillion (US$ 161.26 billion) by 2018, accounting for 5 per cent of the countrys gross domestic product (GDP).

In December 2014, Indias internet user base reached 300 million, the third largest in the world, while the number of social media users and smartphones grew to 100 million.

E-commerce, short forelectronic commerce, istradingin products or services using computer networks, such as theInternet. E-commerce has grown in importance as companies have adopted pure-click andbrick-and-clickchannel systems. We can distinguish pure-click and brick-and-click channel system adopted by companies.

Pure-click or pure-play companies are those that have launched a website without any previous existence as a firm.

Bricks-and-clicks companies are those existing companies that have added an online site for e-commerce.

Click-to-brick online retailers that later open physical locations to supplement their online efforts.

Introduction to the Topic:A website is a collection of pages representing a company, business or simply an idea on the World Wide Web (WWW) files. The information could be in the form of traditional media including text, images & sound bytes and the more recent media of video and animation.

Websites are extensively used by corporates, big and small businesses and even individuals to provide information about their products and services and invite inquiries and hopefully orders. Multiple websites, targeting different geo-locations and languages, can also co-exist having cross-links to files on each other's sites or even share the same files.

Why Websites are Important for Business Growth:

Objectives of the Study:To find out the scope of click and mortar business in Charkhi Dadri.To study the benefits of website.To help Sapient Edusoft in identifying the website requirements of customers.To promote Sapient Edusoft Private Limited.To find out the awareness level of businessmen regarding websites for their business in Charkhi dadri.

Research Methodology

Research Design:It is a detailed outline of how an investigation will take place. A research design will typically include how data is to be collected, what instruments will be employed, how the instruments will be used and the intended means for analyzing data collected.

For this study I have taken Exploratory cum Descriptive Research Design.

Data Collection:

For the study purpose both primary and secondary data are used. The primary data collected from businessmen/shopkeepers, professionals of Charkhi Dadri. The secondary data collected from internet and journals from library.

Sampling Design:

For this research study purpose, out of different sampling methods the Non-probability Convenience Sampling has been selected.

The universe includes wholesalers, retailers and professionals of Charkhi Dadri. Out of Charkhi Dadri the nearby areas like Heera Chowk, Shankar Colony, Shops on Bus Stand Road, Prem Nagar have been selected. They have been selected on basis of convenience.

Keeping in view the manageable size of the sample, the sample size selected is 100.

Research Instrument:For collection of data the following instruments have been used:Questionnaire: Questionnaire is a set of questions has been prepared to ask a number of questions and collect answers from respondents relating to the research topic. A number of questions usually in printed or electronic form are to be answered by the individuals. Interview: In this method the interviewer personally meets the informants and asks necessary questions to them regarding the subject of enquiry. Usually a set of questions or a questionnaire is carried by him and questions are also asked according to that. The interviewer efficiently collects the data from the informants by cross examining them.

DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATIONS

Interpretation:Above chart shows that more than 90% respondents hear about websites in one or another way.

Interpretation: It is clear from the chart that only 20% respondents have websites for their business.

Interpretation: More than 95% respondents who have a website of their business/profession are satisfied with the website.

Interpretation: More than 80% respondents think that having a website creates standard of business.

Interpretation: 90% respondents believe that website provides in-depth information about products and services.

Interpretation: More than 80% respondents think that website helps to increase sales and expands the business.

Interpretation: More than 70% respondents think websites provide better and connectivity with the customers.

Interpretation: More than 90% respondents think websites are easily accessible.

Interpretation: Around 70% respondents think that websites help to attract new customers.

Interpretation: This chart shows that only 30% respondents want highly customized websites while 70% respondents will be satisfied with already prepared themes of Wordpress.

Findings:The major findings of the study are as follows:Almost all respondents i.e. 95% have heard about websites.It is found that the majority of respondents i.e. around 80% do not have website of their business/profession.It seems that 85% of the respondents think having a website creates a standard of business/profession.It is seen that 90% respondents think websites provide in-depth information about products and services.

Findings:It is found out that out of 100 respondents 85 respondents think websites help to increase sale and expand business. The majority of the respondents i.e. 72% feel website provide better and constant connectivity with customers.More than 90% respondents say websites are easily accessible and 71% of the respondents think it helps to attract new customers.70% of respondents want already prepared themes while 30% of the respondents want highly customized websites.

Suggestions:On the basis of findings we can suggest that Sapient Edusoft can have a good customer base for its services like Web Development, Web Hosting, Website Maintenance and Domains Registration as 80% of respondents do not have websites.It was seen that customers think that websites are a big expense so low cost websites can be provided.The websites should be easy to navigate.There is more demand for websites based on already prepared themes like wordpress instead of high customization using language.

Suggestions:The company should create the websites which do not take much time in page loading.Sapient Edusoft should focus on creating attractive websites for its customers.There is demand for websites which can provide better connectivity with the customers so e-mails can also be provided with the websites.Responsive websites are in demand as majority of respondents say websites are easily accessible.

Conclusion:The literature review of the study indicates that websites play a very important role in growth and expansion of business. The customers want to remain in contact with the firms constantly. Now the number of internet consumers are increasing day by day as the data is shown in the study earlier. So there is a huge scope for IT companies to cater that market. The study shows that the businessman believe websites help to attract new customers but they think it as a big expense so there is a need to make people aware about low cost websites which can also help the business in their growth.Therefore easy to navigate and responsive websites can be prepared which have quick to download pages and which can help business to provide information about their product and services to the consumers.

Limitations:Limited Time: The time period for the research was very limited.Limited Sample Size: The sample size for the study was also limited. It was only 100.There was a lack of response from the respondents.Lack of adequate literature.There was sometimes unavailability of the respondents at the shops.Some respondents may give biased responses.
