Learn the science of cooking as we make fresh mozzarella cheese, pre- pare a variety of foods to showcase the diverse roles of eggs, and explore the concept of taste using a blend of flavorings. For each session, we will experiment, make several predictions, test them out in our “kitchen” lab, and conclude with a daily tasting. The Edmonds School District does not sponsor or endorse the activity and/or information contained in this material. • Tuesday-Thursday, July 10, 11, 12, 2018, 1-3 p.m. each day. • Verdant Community Wellness Center, 4710 196th St. SW in Lynnwood. • The registration fee is $15 per person. Scholarships are available. • Open to youth ages 11-15 with experience in the kitchen. The program is not intended for beginning cooks. Youth ages 11-15 with experience in the kitchen are invited to join Registered Dietitian Amy Reuter to explore more advanced cooking knowledge & skills in this 3-part series.
