SUMMER
PROJECT Booklet
Indonesia has the fourth largest population in the world, it has 240 million people and more than a half of the population are clustered around the
poverty line. A strong entrepreneurial sector can create employment and other business opportunities that a handful of legacy industries cannot hope
match. As one of the most youthful nations in the world, Indonesia is expected to become the third most populous country in 10 to 15 years. Indonesia’s ranked at 120 out of 130 countries indicate that is just the start of a long journey for the entrepreneurship ecosystem in this country to fulfill its
potential. Indonesians are far less likely to want to start their own business. Most of it are caused by lack of access to education and information.
Entrepreneurship education is a lifelong learning process, starting as early as elementary school and progressing through all levels of education, including adult education. The standards and their supporting performance indicators
are a framework for teachers to use in building appropriate objectives, learning activities, and assessments for their target audience. Using this
framework, students will have progressively more challenging educational activities, experiences that will enable them to develop the insight needed to
discover and create entrepreneurial opportunities, and the expertise to successfully start and manage their own businesses to take advantage of these
opportunities.
With those facts in mind, it is our duty as the future leaders to take the opportunities to make a better Indonesia. AIESEC as the world’s largest youth
organization is planning on creating Project Based on Exchange entitled “Entrevolution : Lead The Future”.
