Health and Safety is Our Primary ConcernWe are committed to the support and supervision of our students.Daily sign-ins and room checks are used for safety. Students are freeto walk around campus and around the Homewood neighborhood ofBaltimore. Take the JHMI shuttle between JHU’s Homewood campusand Medical Campus, and ride the Charm City Circulator bus aroundcentral Baltimore.

Staff make all medical appointments, accompany students to medicalfacilities, obtain prescription medications, and notify parents after medicalvisits. Appointments are made with Student Health Services or UnionMemorial Hospital.

TransportationWe provide escorted transfers from/to Baltimore-Washington InternationalAirport (BWI) only. Staff meet incoming flights in baggage claim (or outsidecustoms for international flights) and assist with all departures.

Classrooms, athletic facilities, and the Homewood neighborhood of Baltimoreare only a short walk from our residence hall. Chartered buses and publictransportation are used for large group excursions.

This program is available at Johns Hopkins’Homewood campus in Baltimore, MD and atHood College in Frederick, MD.

Engineering Innovation is an exciting programfor motivated high school students. This programengages students in STEM (science, technology,engineering, and mathematics) education, inspiresthem to consider further studies and careers inengineering, and provides an understanding of basicengineering principles and skills.

Students put engineering concepts to the test,applying their knowledge of math and science to labsand hands-on projects. Students attend college levellectures, tackle problems, test theories, and ultimatelylearn to think and problem-solve like engineers.

The program is taught by instructors appointed byJohns Hopkins University, and features guest talksfrom engineers working in a variety of fields. Studentswho earn an A or B grade in the course receive atotal of 3 JHU college credits.
