SUMMER ON THE HILL – MAKING MEMORIES & FRIENDSHIPS THAT LAST A LIFETIME

Please join us at the Camp Open House on Sunday, March 18, 1:00pm - 3:00pm at the JCC. Meet our expert instructors and counselors. Join games and go for a swim!

OPEN HOUSE

If you are like me, many of your favorite memories come from camp. It’s where I learned to dribble with my left hand, where my team won the Color War three years in a row and, most importantly, where I made my fi rst best friends, many of whom I am still close with today.

The camping experience is an important part of our children’s lives and why I’m so proud of Summer on the Hill and all the quality programs we offer. We are excited to debut several new options this summer that will make our camp experience even better!

We have a new Classic Camp schedule, for families looking for a more traditional day camp experience. KinderCamp has extended hours and several new afternoon programs. Our popular

Specialties are back as well, from Baseball to Dance to Robotics. And it all happens here on our beautiful 11-acre campus in seaside Marblehead.

Above everything, camp is about people and to that end our exceptional staff is back and ready to deliver an exciting and energized new season.

I look forward to seeing you and your kids at camp this summer!

Warm regards,

Bob Verdun, JCCNS Executive Director

Everyone’s Welcome!

“Our family loves KinderCamp! It is our kids’ place to have fun, play and swim with their friends and it’s also a comfortable place to call home. The teachers and counselors are so welcoming and nurturing, they’re like our extended family now. We can’t wait for summer!” --Kelly Flynn

“KinderCamp’s setting is ideal for children under six years old. There is a pool, playground, picnic tables, grassy areas, as well as shade and sun… all contained within a safe and secluded area on the JCC grounds. The counselors have been absolutely wonderful and Tyler has made great friends with his co-campers. Tyler keeps his camp photo in a frame on his dresser and we are very happily looking forward to another summer at KinderCamp.” --Valerie Smith

“My son has gone to JCC camps for the last 5 years. The variety of camp options along with the talented staff keep my son coming back for more. The campus is beautiful and the combination of being inside and outside makes for a comfortable – and fun – camp experience.” -- Debra Gansenberg

“Belle had a blast at KinderCamp last summer! The teachers and counselors are welcoming, loving and energetic. They provided all kinds of creative activities for the children. There’s no better feedback from your child than, “I had a fun time today!” – Chalese Karas

“Jared & Sadie loved every minute of KinderCamp. Every day was a new and exciting adventure. They loved Swimming with Meryl, Stories with Bonnie, Games with Anne and Shabbat with Marcy. They especially enjoyed the Spirit Days when they dressed up as a pirate and princess and went on a treasure hunt, when Curious Creatures visited and shared animals like a fl ying squirrel and, of course, the Carnival, when Jared went down the giant water slide with Heather! Jared and Sadie made new friends, experienced new and exciting activities and most important, had so much fun which all made for a truly memorable Summer on the Hill.”

“2012 is a special year for me – this is my 20th summer at Simchah. I started as the music assistant, then moved to music specialist, assistant director and now director. Since my fi rst years at camp, I knew it was something I wanted to do for a long time, so I pursued a career in education. I’m now a music teacher in the Danvers schools in the “off season.”

It’s always amazing and inspiring to me how much a camper can grow in the course of a summer. And it’s a special delight that I can now count my own children as JCC campers.

I look forward to seeing your campers’ smiling faces on the hill soon!”

› There is a $250 fee for each 2-week session.

› There is a mandatory orientation for all interns on June 21 and June 24.

“We’re so fortunate to have JTI here at the JCC. I don’t know of any other program for teens on the North Shore that offers so many opportunities for team building, learning leadership skills and community service. It’s also a great way to make new friends, have a fun summer and learn important skills for young adulthood. Kelly is looking forward to her third summer at JTI!”
