Permanent exhibition on the Dolomites UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in the Tre Cime di Lavaredo/Drei Zinnen Nature Park House in Dobbiaco/Toblach

Auf einer Fläche von 250 m2 wird das Welterbegebiet anschaulich präsentiert. Die Dolomiten sind 2009 von der UNESCO als Welterbe anerkannt worden. Dies ist eine ganz besondere Auszeichnung, welche die weltweite Einzigartigkeit und einmalige Schönheit, aber auch die Integrität dieser Gebirgsformation bestätigt. Die Freude über diese Auszeichnung ist groß. Die Bemü-hungen zur Bewahrung dieses Gutes sollen nicht minder groß und der Schutz desselben uns allen Verpflichtung sein. Eine zielorien-tierte Bewusstseinsbildung ist wohl Voraus-setzung dafür. Die erste Dauerausstellung Dolomiten UNESCO Welterbe im Naturpark-haus in Toblach verfolgt diesen Zweck. Möge sie möglichst vielen Menschen Verstand und vor allem Herz für diesen landschaftli-chen und natürlichen Reichtum öffnen.

Il territorio patrimonio mondiale viene presentato al meglio su di una superficie espositiva di 250 m2. Nel 2009 le Dolomiti, estese su cinque province, sono state dichiarate Patrimonio mondiale dell’UNESCO. Questo particolare riconoscimento sottlinea l’unicità, l’eccezio-nale bellezza, ma anche l’integrità di questa regione montuosa. La goia dovuta a questo premio è molto grande. Altrettanto grande devono essere il nostro impegno la nostra responsabilità per la tutela di questo bene. Questo obiettivo si raggiunge anche attra-verso appropriate misure d’informazione ed educazione. La prima mostra permanente per le Dolomiti patrimonio mondiale UNESCO presso il Centro visite Tre Cime a Dobbiaco persegue questo scopo. Con l’augurio che sappia far capire e soprattutto amare a tanti questo tesoro paesaggistico e naturalistico.

This exhibition on an area of 250 m² offers a vivid introduction to the Dolo-mites World Natural Heritage Site. The Dolomites were declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2009. This is a very special accolade that confirms not only the globally unique character and incomparable beauty of this mountainous landscape, but also its integrity. The declaration was received with great pleasure, and no less great must be our efforts to preserve this natural wonder. It is the duty of every one of us to protect it, and essential that public awareness of the uniqueness of the site is raised. In the Nature Park House in Dobbiaco, the first permanent exhibition on the Dolomites as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site pursues this very goal. May it open the hearts and minds of as many people as possible to the great natural riches and beauty of this unique landscape.

» Stoneman Hike «

Der Stoneman-Hike ist ein Trekking auf einsamen Pfaden in den Südtiroler Dolomiten. Die Rundstrecke ist 54 km lang und hat 3.000 HM. Die Wanderer und Läufer können in den Stoneman-Ausgabestellen ein Start-paket erwerben und starten dann in Nieder-dorf, mit Hilfe eines Roadbook auf den nicht markierten Pfad. Dabei gilt es ein Armband an 3 Checkpoints abzustempeln.

Il Stoneman-Hike è un’avventura Trek-king su sentieri poco battuti nelle Dolomiti. Il tragitto è lungo 54 km e ha 3000 metri di dislivello. Gli escursionisti e corridori possono acquistare il pacchetto partenza presso i punti di distribuzione Stoneman e partire da Villabassa su un percorso non segnalato con l’ausilio di un roadbook. Presso 3 diversi “Checkpoints” dovrà essere timbrato un braccialetto.

The Stoneman hike is a trekking tour along lonely paths in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. The circuit covers 54 km and includes ascents totalling 3000 metres' change in elevation. Hikers and walkers can purchase a starting package at one of the Stoneman Trail issuing counters, before setting off from Villabassa/Niederdorf. A roadbook is provided to help them find their way along the unmarked path. Then the idea is to collect stamps on a spe-cial armband at 3 checkpoints along the way.

Sommerrodelbahn Fun-Bob

Südtirols 1. Sommerrodelbahn am Haunold bei Innichen ist die Spaßquelle Nr. 1 in den Sextner Dolomiten: 1,75 km lang, bis zu 40% Gefälle und Top-Speed mit direkter Liftan-bindung – von Mitte Juli bis Ende August Fun-Bob by night auf der erleuchteten Almweide.

Erlebnisfahrten zum Sonnenaufgang

Fahren Sie mit den Bergbahnen Sextner Dolomiten zum einzigartigen Naturschau-spiel am Helmgipfel (2.434 m). Von Mitte Juli bis Mitte September bringt Sie die Helmbahn Sexten zu einer atemberaubenden Sonnenaufgangswanderung. Anschließend genießen Sie in den Helm-Stuben ein reich-haltiges Bergfrühstück.

Geführte Rentierfütterung

Besuchen Sie Rentier Rudolf und das kleinste Rentierrudel der Alpen, die einzige freilau-fende Population Italiens. Im Rentiergehege an der Rotwand-Bergstation finden donners-tags ab 14 Uhr (18.06.–03.09.2015) geführte Rentierfütterungen statt.

Riese Haunold-Kinderfeste

Ganztägige Kinderfeste finden jeden Freitag an der Bergstation der Vierer-Sesselbahn nahe der Riese Haunold-Hütte statt – mit Bastelwerkstatt, Gruppenspielen und Rie-senhüpfburg (17.07.–28.08.2015).

Kostenlose und uneingeschränkte Nutzung der Bergbahnen im Hochpustertal! Gültig nur in den teilnehmenden Betrieben des Hochpustertal sowie für alle Gäste aus Sexten (26.09.–18.10.2015).

Pista estiva per slittino Fun-Bob

La prima pista estiva per slittino dell’Alto Adige sul Monte Baranci, presso San Can-dido, è l’attrazione principale delle Dolomiti di Sesto: con una lunghezza di 1,75 km e una pendenza che raggiunge il 40% e Top-Speed con diretto collegamento agli impianti di risalita, da metà luglio a fine agosto, Fun- Bob by night sui prati illuminati dell’alpe.

Risalita spettacolare all’alba

Godetevi l’alba e lo spettacolare panorama che si gode dalla cima dell’Elmo (2.434 m) grazie agli impianti di risalita delle Dolomiti di Sesto. Da metà luglio a metà settembre i gestori dell’impianto di risalita sull’Elmo di Sesto propongono anche una spettacolare ascensione all’alba. E dopo, tutti a fare una ricca cola-zione tipica nella stube del ristorante Helm.

Fun-bob summer toboggan run

South Tyrol’s No. 1 summer toboggan run on the Monte Baranci/Haunold near San Can-dido/Innichen is the No. 1 address for fun in the Dolomiti de Sesto. It offers a 1.75 km-long slope with up to 40% inclination, and top-speed, with a direct connection to the lift – from the middle of July to the end of August you can fun-bob by night on the floodlit mountain pastures.

Sunrise adventure tours

Take the Dolomiti di Sesto mountain railway to the summit of Monte Elmo/Helm (2.434 m) to witness this unique natural spectacle. From mid-July to mid-September, the Monte Elmo/Helm lift in Sesto/Sexten will take you up for a breathtaking dawn hike. Afterwards you can enjoy an extensive mountain breakfast in the Monte Elmo/Helm mountain refuge.

Guided "feed the reindeer” tour

Visit Rudolf and the smallest herd of rein-deer in the Alps, the only freely roaming population in Italy. There are guided rein-deer feeding times in the reindeer enclo-sure at the Croda Rossa/Rotwand mountain cablecar station from 2 pm every Thursday (18.06.–03.09.2015).

The Giant Baranci/Haunold Children’s festivals

All-day children’s parties take place every Friday at the mountain station of the four-seat chair-lift near the Giant Baranci mountain refuge - with craft workshops, group games and a bouncy castle (17.07.–28.08.2015).

Unlimited use of the cable cars in Alta Pus- teria! Valid in the establishments partici-pating and for oll guests of Sesto/Sexten (26.09.–18.10.2015).

Visita guidata al recinto delle renne

Visitate Rodolfo Renna e il più piccolo branco di renne delle Alpi, l’unica popolazione allo stato libero in Italia. Nel recinto delle renne della stazione di montagna della Croda Rossa, ogni giovedì alle 14 (18/06–03/09/2015) è possibile assistere e partecipare al momento del pasto delle renne.

Feste per bambini “Gigante Baranci”

Ogni venerdì, ad esempio, si organizzano feste per bambini che durano tutto il giorno presso la stazione di montagna della seggiovia a quattro posti che si trova nelle vicinanze del rifugio Gigante Baranci con laboratori artistici, giochi di gruppo, giochi gonfiabili (17/07–28/08/2015).

» Stoneman Road «

Nach der erfolgreichen Umsetzung des Stoneman Bike wagte sich Roland Stauder nun an die Realisierung eines weiteren Projektes. Der Stoneman-Road ist eine Straßen-Radrundfahrt mit Start im Südti-roler Hochpustertal und misst 193 km Länge und 4.700 Höhenmeter. Dabei müssen 7 Dolomitenpässe erklommen werden. Die Biker können in den Stoneman-Ausgabestellen ein Startpaket erwerben und starten dann mit Hilfe eines Roadbook auf die nicht markierte Rundstrecke. Dabei gilt es ein Armband an 5 Checkpoints abzustempeln.

Dopo il successo della Stoneman Bike, Roland Stauder si è dedicato a un altro progetto ancora. Il percorso Stoneman-Road è un circuito stradale in Alta Pusteria lungo 193 km e con un dislivello di 4700 metri che attraversa ben 7 passi dolomitici. I ciclisti possono acquistare il pacco parten-za presso uno dei 5 punti di distribuzione Stoneman e partire poi con l’ausilio di un roadbook su un percorso non segnalato. Presso 5 diversi “Checkpoints” dovrà essere timbrato un braccialetto.

Having successfully introduced the Stoneman Bike Trail, Roland Stauder is now working hard on the implementation of another project: the Stoneman Road is a road bike circuit. It begins in South Tyrol’s Alta Pusteria/Hochpustertal valley, covers some 193 km, and includes ascents totalling a difference in elevation of 4700 metres.Along the way, 7 Dolomite passes have to be scaled. Bikers can purchase a starter package at one of the Stoneman Trail issuing coun-ters before setting off along the unmarked circuit with the help of a roadbook. The idea is to collect stamps on a special armband at 5 checkpoints along the way.

In vari punti, con l’ausilio di una cartina si individuano i 18 pa-letti di controllo con i timbri da apporre.È previsto un ampliamento nella parte ovest del paese.

Since summer 2014 there has been a new attraction for tourists in Villabassa: on the eastern side of the village there is now an extensive orienteering course. In 18 differ-ent places there are control points for you to find with the help of a map and where you can collect a stamp for your card.Extension is planed on the west side.

Woher kommt die Milch? Was fres-sen eigentlich die Hühner und Kühe? „Landwirtschaft zum Anfassen“ gibt es in den Sommermonaten beim „Lechnerhof“ in Prags. Gemeinsam werden verschie-dene tägliche Hofarbeiten wie z. B. Tiere füttern und versorgen, Kühe und Ziegen melken, Eier sammeln, Gras mähen, … verrichtet. Den Tag können Sie dann beim kleinen aber feinen Hoffest mit traditio-nellen Köstlichkeiten und musikalischer Umrahmung ausklingen lassen.

Da dove viene il latte? Che cosa man-giano le mucche e le galline? In estate, presso il Maso “Lechnerhof” di Braies lo si può “toccare l’agricoltura con la mano”. Insieme, si possono svolgere alcuni dei lavori quotidiani del maso, come ad esempio dare da mangiare agli animali, mungere le mucche e le capre, raccogliere le uova o sfalciare l’erba. Potrete concludere la giornata con una piccola ma deliziosa festicciola sul maso, con prelibatezze tradizionali e accompagnamento musicale.

Where does milk come from? What do chickens and cows actually eat? During the summer months, it is possible to “muck in” and experience “hands-on agriculture” at the Lechnerhof Farm in Braies. Help the farmer carry out various different daily chores around the farm, such as feeding and looking after the animals, milking cows and goats, collecting eggs, or mowing grass. You can then round off your day at a small but highly enjoyable farmyard fête with traditional delicacies and music.

mit Start in Sexten. Die Kinder müssen zusammen mit Ihren Eltern eine 14 km lange und 200 hm schwere Rundstrecke meistern. Dabei gilt es ein Armband an 2 Checkpoints abzustempeln. Alternativ dazu kann auch eine 6 km lange und 400 hm schwere Wanderung gemacht werden. Als Lohn erhält jedes Kind den „Stony“.

Una piccola avventura sportiva per bambini con partenza a Sesto. Accompa-gnati dai loro genitori i bambini devono intraprendere con la bici un percorso lungo 14 km con 200 metri di dislivello. Presso 2 “Checkpoints” bisogna timbrare un braccialetto. Come alternativa è possibile fare un’escursione lunga 6 km con 400 metri di dis-livello. E alla fine – come ricompensa – vi aspetta “Stony” al punto di partenza.

The World of Stone in the Nature Parks of the Alta Pusteria valley. A nature experience for the whole family: parents and children from 7 to 12 years old can enjoy all sorts of fun and a bit of an ad-venture finding out all about the world of stone under the guidance of experts, alter-nately in the Tre Cime di Lavaredo "Three Peaks" Nature Park and the Fanes-Sennes-Braies/Prags Nature Park. An adventure for all the senses - a jour-ney into the Dolomites that combines both nature and culture. The Culturonda Dolomythos cultural guide will give you a comprehensive insight into the varied cultural landscape, living conditions and traditions of the Dolomite region, as well as showing you the magnificent scenery of this UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.In the Ladin Ciastel de Tor Museum, you can familiarise yourself with the history and language of the Ladin people. A short walk will then take you to the 700 year old Hof Alfarëi farm in St. Leonhard/Abtei, where a typical Ladin lunch menu awaits you after a guided tour of the premises. Later, you continue via passes steeped in history to a view of the Three Peaks in the Val di Landro/Höhlensteintal Valley. After visiting the war cemetery of Sorgeni/Nasswand, you can go on to find out all about the formation of the Dolo- mites at the Three Peaks Nature Park House.

Eine kurze Wanderung führt anschlie-ßend zu dem 700 Jahre alten Hof Alfarëi in St. Leonhard/Abtei, wo nach einer hauseigenen Führung ein typisches „ladinisches“ Mit-tagessen wartet. Über geschichtsträchtige Pässe geht es weiter zum Drei Zinnen Blick im Höhlensteintal. Nach Besichtigung des Kriegerfriedhofes Nasswand erfährt man im Naturparkhaus Drei Zinnen alles über die Entstehung der Dolomiten.

» 100 Jahre 1. Weltkrieg - Berge in Stellung « Il centenario della Prima Guerra Mondiale e le montagne protagoniste del conflitto

100 year anniversary of the start of the First World War – the Mountain Front

Am 23. Mai 1915 erklärte das Königreich Italien der österreichisch-ungarischen Mo-narchie den Krieg. Während des 1. Weltkrieges waren die Gipfel der Dolomiten Schauplatz eines in der Welt einzigartigen Kampfes. Die österreichisch-ungarischen und die ita-lienischen Soldaten lebten und kämpften auf bis dahin unberührten Berggipfeln. Sie wurden vom Klima und der extremen Hö-henlage herausgefordert und erbrachten dabei erstaunliche technische, organisatori-sche und logistische Leistungen.

Die Soldaten beider Seiten trotzten der Hö- henlage, der Kälte, den Lawinen, den Ver- sorgungsschwierigkeiten und der Einsamkeit. Es wurden Straßen, Seilbahnen, Lager, Stel-lungen, Schützengräben und Galerien auf die unberührten Gipfel gebaut. Der Krieg wurde schnell zu einem „Krieg der Adler", ein stän-diger Kampf gegen Berg und Gegner.

Viele Relikte aus dieser Zeit finden sich noch heute durch Witterungseinflüsse zerstört in den Dolomiten wie z. B. auf der Rotwand und dem Monte Piano oder werden dem Publikum bei Ausstellungen zugänglich ge-macht. Sie erzählen von der Tapferkeit der Soldaten, ihrem Erfindungsreichtum und den technischen Lösungen, die sie in diesem besonderen Krieg entwickelt haben.

Il 23 maggio 1915 il Regno d’Italia dichiara guerra alla Monarchia austro-ungarica. Nel corso della Prima Guerra Mondiale le cime delle Dolomiti diventano teatro di una guerra unica nel suo genere. I soldati austro-unga-rici e quelli italiani stazionano e combatto-no infatti su cime prima inviolate, dove il clima estremo e l’altitudine li costringono ad affrontare condizioni particolari. Ciono-nostante, riusciranno in imprese tecniche, organizzative e logistiche decisamente sor-prendenti.

I soldati di ambedue le fazioni riescono a far fronte all’altitudine, al freddo, alle valanghe, alle difficoltà di approvvigionamento e alla solitudine. Sulle vette inviolate vengono realizzate strade, funicolari, accampamenti, postazioni, trincee e gallerie. La guerra di-viene presto una “guerra delle aquile”, una lotta perenne contro la montagna e il nemico.

Ancora oggi, quasi completamente distrutti dagli agenti atmosferici, sulle Dolomiti si tro-vano ancora molti di questi manufatti, come ad esempio sulla Croda Rossa o sul Monte Piana, talvolta proposti al pubblico nell’am-bito di mostre a tema. A testimoniare, in questa guerra tanto particolare, il valore di questi soldati, la loro inventiva e capacità di individuare soluzioni tecniche originali.

On 23rd May 1915, the Kingdom of Italy declared war on the Austro-Hungarian Empire. During the 1st World War, the Dolomite peaks were to be the theatre of a battle unique throughout the world. Austro-Hungarian and Italian soldiers both lived and fought on mountaintops that had hitherto been untouched by human hand. The climate and extreme altitude presented huge challenges and called for astonishing feats of engineering, organisation and logistics.

The soldiers on both sides were forced to defy altitude, bitterly cold temperatures, avalanches, supply difficulties and isolation. Roads, cable cars, storage facilities, forti-fications, dugouts and galleries were built on the untouched peaks. The war rapidly became a “war of eagles”, a constant battle against both mountains and enemy.

Many relics of this period are still to be found in the Dolomites today, albeit badly dam-aged by the influences of wind and weather, e.g. on the Croda Rossa/Rotwand and Monte Piano mountains. Some are made accessi-ble to the public in the form of exhibitions, which tell of the courage of the soldiers, of their inventiveness, and of the technological solutions they developed in this strange war.

Das Hochpustertal war im 1. Welt-krieg sehr stark umkämpft, denn genau hier verlief die Dolomitenfront zwischen dem Kaiserreich Österreich-Ungarn und dem Königreich Italien. Viele Schützen-gräben, Galerien, Kavernen, Unterstände und Truppenstützpunkte zeugen heute noch von den Kriegsjahren. Besichtigen Sie die Kriegsschauplätze, Freilichtmu-seen, Vorträge und Filmabende und er-fahren Sie dabei viel Interessantes und Wissenswertes über den 1. Weltkrieg an der Dolomitenfront.

Durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale, il fronte dolomitico tra l’Impero austro-un-garico e il Regno d’Italia correva proprio in questo territorio, per cui l’Alta Pusteria fu duramente contesa. Ancora oggi, trincee, gallerie, caverne di riparo, rifugi e basi per le truppe testimoniano gli anni del conflitto bellico. Vi invitiamo a visitare i teatri di guerra e i musei all’aperto, a seguire le conferenze e le serate di proiezioni che vi faranno co-noscere tanti aspetti interessanti legati alla Prima Guerra Mondiale sul fronte delle Dolomiti.

During World War I, the Alta Pusteria valley was fiercely fought over, as the Dolomite Front between the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Kingdom of Italy ran precisely along this line. Up to the present day, numerous trenches, galleries, caverns, shelters and army bases bear witness to the years of war. Visit the war sites, open-air museums, lectures and film evenings to learn many interesting facts about World War I and the Dolomite Front.
