Things to know before you go.• Children must wear their
camp T-shirt on field trip days.• Scholarships are available.• Lunches are provided through
a partnership with Nutrition Ser-vices Summer Feeding Program.If your child has an allergy to aparticular food, please plan onproviding a lunch for them.
• Most afternoons will be spentat Cool! Pool at Swanson Park.Bring a swim suit and a toweleach day. Don’t forget sunscreen.
• Maximum ratio of staff tochildren is 1 to 10.
• Weekly schedules are tenta-tive and subject to change.

Albany Community Pool’s wa-ter temperature is 84 degrees.Some of the amenities include aniceberg to climb, a rope swing,diving boards, slide and basket-ball hoops. It is a six-lane, 50 me-ter facility ranging from 3 feet to12 feet in depth.

tion Center, the COOL! pool wasbuilt in 2005 on the site of theold Swanson Pool. It has 81,800gallons of water and is kept at 84degrees. The pool features a zerodepth entry and is 4.5 feet deepat its deepest. COOL! has a 36-foot high slide and a lazy river.The play structure is surrounded
by a large amount of water that isonly 18 inches deep.
COOL! Pool opens the first Sat-urday after school is out for thesummer and closes Labor Day.Program offerings include par-ent/child hour, lap swimming, ex-ercise classes such as the riverclass, family and recreationswims, pool rentals, and youthswim lessons.

CITY OF SWEET HOMESUMMER PROGRAM
The City of Sweet Home has asummer program for six weeksevery Thursday, starting July 11,and wrapping up Aug. 15. Eachday kids ages 5 to 13 meet at adesignated city park for activitiesand games. Lunches are providedthrough the school district freelunch program. Cost for the sum-mer is $15 per child and scholar-ships are available. YOUTH ROLLER DERBYThe Sick Town Derby Dames, a
flat track Roller Derby organiza-tion, is offering a junior derbyteam for young skaters called theCandy Stripers (medical theme).The youth program is open toboys and girls ages 10 to 17. Loan-er gear, including skates, is avail-able. No skating skills required.It’s learn as you go, and skaterswill be taught fun derby stuff, likewhips and hits. A new skaternight is set for April 22 at ourpractice space in Millersburg.Kids need a parent on hand tosign the skater waiver. Exploring Microtechnology CampMany of the technologies we use
daily, such as computers and cell-phones, need to transfer heat tocool down during operation. Whilethe physics and engineering con-cepts of heat transfer are alreadyknown, the design of new minia-turized devices is necessary to re-duce size, weight, energy require-ment and environmental impact oftraditional heat exchangers. In thiscamp, you’ll get experience withdesign engineers at the Micro-products Breakthrough Institute tobuild and test a traditional tube-and-shell heat exchanger.
