Desperate Men – The Eco PiratesFrom the high seas to the high street this scurvybunch of squid suckers want to bury a large treasurechest. Themes of recycling, litter and maritimepollution are all explored by these fearsome yet daftshanty singing Pirates of the Carry-Bin.

Fairly Famous – The LifeguardsPerched high on their chairs with their classic poolrules signs, the Lifeguards attempt to impose thetimeless values of the municipal baths onto thestreets.

Grand Theatre of Lemmings – Cod ChoirThe naughtiest, cheekiest fishermen you will ever meetrove around proudly displaying their larger than lifepuppet fish looking for any opportunity for a joke and alaugh with the unsuspecting public.

Imagineer Productions –A Taste of RioTo mark the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio -Carnival dancers and beautiful costumes will becreating a Brazilian Buzz.

Kitsch n Sync CollectiveTaking inspiration from Vintage postcards and summerseaside pastimes, Kitsch n Sync bring a splash ofnostalgia and nautical naughtiness to Southside.

Larkin’ About – Deep Sea DiversTwo divers wearing large corroded copper helmetssquirting jets of water and draped with seaweed andcrabs. Fish swim around their heads, and theirbackpacks play atmospheric undersea noises.

Pif Paf – The Submercycle & The FlycycleCome away with Pif Paf on a journey of your wildestdreams, aboard the famous travelling machines...Choose a travelling companion, find the DepartureLounge and they’ll take care of the rest.

Puppets with Guts – Citizen SquidA gigantic squid has crawled into Southside but howdid it get there - and what will we do with it?! Enjoyan interactive big puppet spectacle.

Sand In Your EyeProfessional sand sculptors will be runningworkshops throughout the weekend. Come and learnthe tricks of the trade and see the sculpture theyhave created too!

Talking Birds – The WhaleAhoy there shipmates! The Whale is comingto town, and beneath its gleaming, silverysurface there be surprises for intrepid sailors!Fun for all ages, and fully accessible for wheelchairusers. Prepare to dive!

Tall Tail Acrobatics – TurbuilenteA charming pilot and daring stewardessintroduce ‘flying 2.0’. They might have losttheir plane during the financial crisis, but thestewardess still takes off to the skies, thrown andcaught by her pilot. A turbulent act full of audienceinteraction and acrobatic highlights.

Tombs Creatius –Monster ColoursStep up to an array of interactive games totest your puzzle solving, cup stacking and co-ordination abilities. Playful Catalan artists TombsCreatius’ beautifully designed and handmade woodengames are perfect for all ages and skill levels.

Over the weekend, experience avibrant carnival atmospherewhere Hurst Street will betransformed with seaside sights,sounds and smells. Be sweptaway by nautical encounters froma cod choir, deep-sea divers andeven some pirates!

There is something for everyone –play on wooden street games,dive into the mouth of anenormous whale, enjoy streetacrobatics, a marching band witha difference and much, muchmore.

Our very own back dock will betransformed into a beach withbeautiful sculptures – so makeSouthside your destination ofchoice this year and enjoy alittle bit of seaside familiarityand hilarity right in the heart ofthe city.
