Smart Curve
Under the Drawing tab, with the Smart Curve tool,
we can define a curve in the top view as shown
above.
1 Symmetry Horizontal
Now, under the Transform tab with the Symmetry
Horizontal tool we can create a mirror from the cur-
ve created before!
2
Smart Curve
Then, back to the Drawing tab, with the Smart Cur-
ve tool in the top view to define another curve as
shown above.
3 Symmetry Horizontal
Now, again under the Transform tab with the
Symmetry Horizontal tool we can create a mirror
from the curve created previously!
4
Star Hearts Pendant In this tutorial we will try out some of the most useful com-
mands in RhinoGold. Powerful tools as Extrude, Gems by Cur-
ve, Cutters and Findings.
5 RhinoGold Summer Guide 2014
Auto Connect
Then, we can join the curves created previously
with the Auto Connect tool from the Drawing tab.
5 Offset
Now, still under the Drawing Tab with the Offset tool
to create a curve with 1.2 mm distance from the
outside heart curve.
6
Extrude
Then, with the Extrude tool from the Modelling tab
to define a solid with 2mm thickness as the image
above.
7 Gems by Curve
Now, under the Gems tab with the Gems by Curve
tool to apply some gems along the middle curve
created before, as shown above.
8
Variable Fillet
Now, with the Variable Fillet tool from the Modelling
tab to break the Sharp edge from the inside part of
the heart. In this case with 1mm fillet angle.
9 Cutter
Then, under the Jewellery tab with the Cutter tool to
apply the cutters on the gems. All the parameters
can be defined in the side panel.
10
6 RhinoGold Summer Guide 2014
Boolean Difference
Then, under the Modelling tab with the Boolean
Difference tool to remove the cuters from the heart.
11 Dynamic Prong
Now, under the Jewellery Tab with the Dynamic
Prong tool to place the prongs on the heart, as
shown above. Remmember to adjust all the parameters
in the side panel!
12
Variable Fillet
Then, with the Variable Fillet tool under the Mode-
lling tab to break the sharp edges from the heart’s top surface. In this case with 0,2mm fillet angle!
13 Dynamic Polar Array
Now, select the Heart, Gems and Prongs created
before and under the Tranform tab with the Dyna-
mic Polar Array tool to define four copies as the above
image. All the parameters should be defined in the side
panel.
14
Tube
Now we can define the outside shape of the pen-
dant. To do it, under the Modelling tab with the
Tube tool as the above image.
15 Circle
Then, under the Drawing tab with the Circle tool to
define a curve to apply some gems, as the above
image.
16
7 RhinoGold Summer Guide 2014
Gems by Curve
Then, under the Gems tab with the Gems by Curve
tool to place some gems along the curve created
before, as the above image.
17 Dynamic Prongs
Now, under the Jewellery Tab with the Dynamic
Prong tool to place only two prongs on the gems
created before, as shown above.
18
Dynamic Polar Array
Then, with the Dynamic Polar Array tool under the
Transform tab to apply the prongs created before
to the other gems.
19 Variable Fillet
Now, under the Modelling tab with the Variable
Fillet tool to break the sharp edges from the outside
shape of the pendant. In this case with 0,2mm fillet angle.
20
Cutter
Then, with the Cutter tool under the Jewellery tab to
define the cutters to apply on the outside gems, as
shown above.
21 Boolean Difference
Now, under the Modelling tab with the Boolean
Difference tool to remove the cutters from the pen-
dant.

Findings
Then, under the Jewellery tab with the Findings tool
to choose the pendant bail, in this case is the num-
ber 2. Then we can use the Gumball transformer to place
it on the intended position.
23 Boolean Union
Finnaly, under the Modelling Tab with the Boolean
Union tool to unite all the parts in a single object.
24
9 RhinoGold Summer Guide 2014
Arc
Under the Drawing tab, with the Arc tool, we can
define a curve with 30mm diameter as shown abo-
ve!
1 Dynamic Profile
Now, under the Jewellery tab with the Dynamic
Profile tool we can apply a rectangular solid along
the curve created before.
2
Offset
Under the Drawing tab, with the Offset tool we can
define the top curve of the hoops, as seen in the
image above.
3 Gems by Curve
Now, under the Gems tab with the Gems by Curve
tool to apply 22 gems with 2mm diameter along the
curve created before, just in the front of the hoops as the
above image.
4
Diamond Hoops In this tutorial we will try out some of the most
useful commands in RhinoGold. Powerful tools
such as Dynamic Profile, Gems by Curve, Cutters
in Line and Findings.
10 RhinoGold Summer Guide 2014
Gems by Curve
Still under the Gems tab with the Gems by Curve
tool to apply gems in the bottom part of the earings
as the above image.
5 Cutters in Line
Under the Jewellery Tab with the Cutters in Line tool
to create the curtters to apply on the gems created
before. It’s important to define the parameters in the commands line.
6
Boolean Difference
Then, with the Boolean Difference tool from the
Modelling tab to remove the cutters from the
hoops.
7 Join
Now, under the Jewellery tab with the Dynamic
Profile tool to créate a cutting object along the
front curve from the hopos as the above image.
8
Dynamic Profile
Then, again with the Dynamic Profile tool from the
Jewellery tab to create another cutting object. In
this case in the bottom part of the hoops!
9 Boolean Difference
Now we can remove the cutting objects created
before, to do it, with the Boolean Difference tool
under the Modelling tab.
