A B OPTION OPTION Piano “Cruise” Camp for Elementary Students Enrichment Classes 90 min - CMM Faculty and Guests (This is preferred for students in first 1-3 years of study - lays a more solid foundation, & the kids have fun!) Camp plus four 45 minute private lessons and one enrichment class. Four 60-minute lessons OR five 45-min lessons plus 3 classes C OPTION Production for Teens CMM Faculty and Guests Parts I and II below, plus 4 one hour private lessons. (Ages 12 + ) (Enrichment classes may be substituted for any private lessons) 9:30am to 12pm or 5:30 to 8pm (sibling exceptions may be accepted upon request) The Cruise departs June 8th & lands June 11th ! MONDAY-THURSDAY 1. RECORDING YOUR PIANO PERFORMANCES: Learn how to record a great video for YouTube - Microphones, video editing cameras, and more. 8th Grade and up - Choose one date in May OR August 2. PERSPECTIVE: KEYBOARD JAM (MINI-POP SHOWCASE) A mini pop showcase just for kids! Meet the musicians and play with your rhythm section for fun - actual rehearsal time and a great opportunity to get to know some of Dallas’ finest professional musicians! All Ages - Choose one class in May or June 3. PERSPECTIVE: CLASSICAL PIANO CONCERT/PIANO PARTY WITH CLASSICAL PIANIST, ALEX MCDONALD Van Cliburn Finalist from 2014 will give CMM students and families a private concert! Last year was AMAZING and sure this year will be as well. Reception/Drinks with time for questions and answers will follow the concert, and snacks provided. All ages - June 4. PERSPECTIVE: CLASSICAL PIANO CONCERT/PIANO PARTY WITH MISS KRISTIN as she walks students through Paris and classical French music from the early 20th century. Featuring music of Debussy, Saens Sans and Ravel. Students will have French food and learn about French culture! All ages - Choose one date in June or July 5. PERSPECTIVE: CONCERT WITH THE TALENTED DALLAS OPEN CLASSICAL ARTISTS FEATURING PIANO AND VIOLIN. This is an invaluable experience/event with CMM - some of the most entertaining and talented musicians in Dallas will be bringing an evening of Classical Music and making it ridiculously fun AND enriching to CMM students. CMM Faculty will also be performing! All Ages - July 6. ENSEMBLE (DUOS): Make music with your friends! Perfect for students of all ages to learn to play with another musician. Have a friend enrolled at CMM? We will happily pair you up with someone in the same age category! No friends at CMM? No problem - we’ll use this an opportunity. Music will be chosen specifically for the students enrolled and scheduled according to those interested. This was the most requested class from 2014! All Ages - TBD based on sign ups 7. ENSEMBLE: AFRICAN DRUMMING: best listening activity we offer! Culturally and musically enriching for students and parents alike with S’Ankh Rasa. All ages - May AGES: 6 - 10, LIMIT 10 STUDENTS - Music from around the world! - Rhythm Reinforcement Activities in each port - Solfege/singing ‘new song’ from each port - Theory Games - Fun snacks from each port - Pop Play-A-Long each day featuring Piano Maestro! - Fun Music History lessons Cost is $441/472. *Voice classes like Broadway and more, will be scheduled shortly and open to all students. *Add a class or an extra one-hour lesson for $40! Interested in more classes? You can easily swap a lesson for a class OR swap a piano lesson for a voice lesson. Classes may not be swapped for individual lessons. Each session must have 4 students signed up for the class to take, or other options will be provided. If other options are not satisfactory, tuition will be credited or refunded at the discretion of the family and executive director. PART I: RECORDING/INS AND OUTS This session will guide you through recording tracks to a song you want to record (how production works.) Think drums, bass, synthesizers, etc…any song you want, original or otherwise! 2 hours PART II: VIDEO - MUSIC VIDEO Work with a professional videographer and walk away with a video to showcase the end product of your hard work! Video can be inside and/or outside…This session will include one location setup, performance only, simple editing, and syncing with existing track. This session will specifically help you design your own music video and record it! 3 hours - mixing not included. Cost is $575 for 5 hours of production, 4 one-hour lessons and all content will be owned by students/families. Cost is $441/472.
