Basic Requirements

Program Eligibility

• Be 18 years or older

• Be in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.0 or higher (2.5 and above strongly preferred. Speak with Program Coordinator if your GPA is below a 2.5)

• Be in good disciplinary standing with your academic institution

Program Details

• Location: Hong Kong & New Zealand (Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin)

• 8 weeks – July 15 to Sept. 12, 2015• On site orientation July 15 – 19• Internships begin July 20th

Placement Process

• Apply online through UC Davis Study Abroad starting January 7, 2015

• Create online profile with ISA and submit cover letter, resume and reference letter

• ISA overseas offices work to match you with a company that can provide the type of experience you seek

• Apply for your passport as soon as possible

• Site confirms you will be a good candidate

• Prepare for departure!

Visas

If you do not currently have a passport, apply for one at http://passports.state.gov

U.S. citizens interning in New Zealand will apply for a Student Trainee visa or a Working Holiday visa

U.S. citizens interning in Hong Kong will apply for a ID992A training visa

Non-U.S. citizens should consult with UC Davis Study Abroad and ISA for more information
