The Client

AskMe is India’s biggest classified company and one-stop destination for information related to restaurants, travel, matrimony, jobs, education, mobile, gadgets, etc. It is an extensive information directory for the entire country, which users can access by way of print, online, or mobile.

Objective

AskMe has several community websites across verticals like Fashion, Weddings, Home Interiors, Education, Travel, etc. which were initially built on Joomla. It became very difficult for AskMe to manage and add content on these properties. The structure of these sites did not provide for scalability or efficient handling of rapidly growing traffic. The core purpose of having these community sites was to increase user engagement which was severely lacking before due to non-availability of content sharing features.

The Goal

AskMe wanted a scalable solution to manage various properties seamlessly. It also wanted to add more such communities and wanted a single platform to manage them. We suggested to build a single CMS using Drupal 7 to manage all the properties to resolve all the existing bottlenecks that were impeding performance.

TO THE NEW reconstructed eight community websites for Askme.com, a comprehensive information portal for various domains, on Drupal 7 to provide a robust and flexible platform that facilitates scalability and propels user engagement.
