HOW I MET MYSELF

CHAPTER 1 A Strange Meeting

- John Taylor bumps into a man who looks exactly like him ( and I felt very afraid.Because what I saw was me. My face looking down at me. My mouth saying sorry.)

CHAPTER 2 Getting to Know Me

- Introduction of himself (John Taylor)- He is 34 years old.- He is nearly 2 metres tall.- He has light brown hair and eyes.- He has a moustache.- He is a computer programmer in Bristol.- He is sent to learn Hungarian language at a special school.- He meets Andrea, his Hungarian language teacher and after 18 months later they get

married.

CHAPTER 3 A Search

- John Taylor chases the man who bumps into him until he reaches the entrance to thecellar.

- However, there were only his footprints.- He goes into the cellar and asks the caf owner whether he sees a man comes into the

caf. He searches everywhere but there is no one to be found.- John Taylor lies to Andrea saying that he had a coffee with Peter and that is why he is

late.

CHAPTER 4 7 Felka utca

- After work John Taylor goes to 7 Felka utca. He waits there but there is nothing happen.- He goes to the same caf with the hope to meet the man again.- That night he has a strange dream.- Andrea looks worried and asks him what is wrong.

CHAPTER 5 I tell Andrea

- John Taylor keeps on going to the same caf every day and always comes home late.- One day when he gets home Andrea is crying. Andrea thinks that he might have other

woman.

- John tells Andrea about all that happens to him.- Andrea agrees to accompany John to 7 Felka utca.

CHAPTER 6 Talking to the housekeepers

- At 10 oclock they walk round Felka utca.- They speak to the housekeeper but there is nothing.- They walk round to Gergely utca and stop outside the caf. He asks another

housekeeper but still there is no one that looks like him.

- John tells Andrea that the man that they are looking for is actually himself. But Andreafinds it difficult to understand.

CHAPTER 7 Doppelganger

- John Taylor and Andrea are expecting a baby.

- Andreas loses her biggest teaching job.- Zsolt offers Andrea to work with him at the caf because the caf needs a womans

touch to make it better.- John Taylor learns that the man he meets has a name i.e: doppelganger

CHAPTER 8 A holiday

- John and Andrea are happily painting a room for the baby and on 16 September Kati isborn.

- They decide to go for a Christmas holiday in England- John meets Paul his best friend and Paul explains a lot of things on doppelganger.- They spend New Year holiday with Andreas family in Hungary.

- John keeps on thinking about his doppelganger. But Andrea tells him to forget about itand she wants him to focus on their family.

CHAPTER 9 The date gets closer again

- John has the nightmare again.- John realizes that the date that is important. (18 January)- John asks Andrea to accompany him to go to 7 Felka utca on 18 January and Andrea

agrees.

CHAPTER 10 18 January

- John and Andrea go to 7 Felka utca.- John meets his doppelganger again where his doppelganger runs into him and says

sorry and leaves.- Andrea only sees John falls down and shouts but she doesnt see anyone else except

her husband.- That night John has the same nightmare again.

CHAPTER 11 A little bit of history

- John spends his time every afternoon to do a research at the Budapest City Library.- John finds the news which happens on 18 January where a young mother and child

killed as fighting ends in Pest. The woman and the child were killed in the destroyed

cellar.- John tells Andrea about the news but Andrea gets upset because John is still thinking

about his doppelganger.

CHAPTER 12 Looking for the truth

- John goes to Gergely utca and meets the housekeeper again. Bu there is nothing.- John goes to 7 Felka utca and asks another housekeeper. He meets Mrs. Fischer and

asks her about the tragedy that happened in 1945. She says that Janos Szabo was

never the same after the incident. He stopped wanting to live and in the end he diedfighting in the streets in 1956.

CHAPTER 13 Problems at home

- John tells Andrea everything about Janos Szabo.

- However, Andrea says that he must be really ill because how can he see a dead man.- Still John cannot figure out the meaning behind his meeting with his doppelganger.

CHAPTER 14 Another year goes by

- John spends a lot of time on work and he always works on Saturday.- They visit England for the second time in August.- They spend Christmas at their own home and spend New Year with Andreas family.- John has the same nightmare again.

CHAPTER 15 I discover some more facts

- John realizes that he shares the same name with his doppelganger. John Taylor is theEnglish for the Hungarian Janos Szabo.

- John goes to meet Mrs. Fischer again. Mrs. Fischer tells John that he looks exactly likeJanos Szabo. She also tells John the name of Janos Szabos wife and daughter that is,

Andrea and Kati, the same as John Taylors wife and daughter.- John goes to the Public Record Office and finds out that Janos Szabo also shares the

same birth date as him that is 23 October.- John still cannot figure out the message behind all the things that happen.

CHAPTER 16 It all happens again

- John still has the same nightmare over and over again.

- On 18 January Andrea and Kati go to Zsolts caf to look after the caf because Zsoltsmother is ill.

- While John is trying to find Andrea and Kati, he hears a loud noise. There has been anexplosion in Gergely utca.

- He ran into a man and the man falls down. The man looks exactly like him and he sayssorry in Hungarian.

CHAPTER 17 We must get them out

- The street is full of smoke.- John arrives at Zsolts caf. There are many people around the caf.- John asks everyone to help him save his wife and daughter. He tries to throw pieces of

wood and stone.- The fireman stops him because it is dangerous and the place is full of gas.- John regrets for not telling Andrea about his nightmare and about what Mrs. Fischer has

told him.

CHAPTER 18 Unexpected help

- John meets his doppleganger again at the corner of the street on his way back home.- His doppelganger points his finger to two people at the end of the dark street.

- They are Andrea and Kati.- Andrea tells John that his doppleganger has saved her and Kati from the explosion.- Andrea thinks it is John who stops her from entering the caf. But Kati keeps on crying

saying that he is not her daddy.- Andrea believes everything that John says and suggest that he writes a book on this.
