RETAINEDExecutive SearcH

Progressive specializes in retained executive search, which has consistently proven to be the most effective recruitment solution for specialized executive hires. The appropri-ate candidate in specialized hires will more often than not already be a part of a suc-cessful working environment, and a strong emphasis is therefore placed on ‘headhunt-ing’ and ‘mapping out the market’, whilst ensuring that confidentiality and discretion is not compromised. We appreciate that upon approaching a candidate, our contact and behaviour is a direct reflection of our client. Partnering with our client to intimately understand its requirements is therefore crucial in representing it in the most accurate and favourable manner. This impresses candidates with a current and detailed knowl-edge of the client and in turn enhances our client’s ‘employer brand’.

Retained search requires a more thorough search, often at a regional/international level. In depth bio sketches are provided on each shortlisted candidate, confirming the skills and experience the client has asked for. A detailed report of the candidates approached and the ‘market map’ for the required profile as well as compensation data on each candidate can also be provided in order to educate the client on what the market currently pays.

CONTINGENCYThis is a focused service that combines urgency with professionalism to provide our client with a more flexible recruitment solution. It enables us to build relationships from the ground up, as well as take a longer term view on the market, thereby contributing to developing a long term relationship with our client.  Our contingency search service offers the client a quicker solution for a more generic recruitment need.

We have a 100% success rate in conducting Contingency and Retained Executive Searches over the last 13 years and our client will know what deliverables to expect, and when and its deliverables are always set to a definitive time-line upfront.

PASHA [BA]:Pasha Hussain read for a Law with European Law degree at The University of Nottingham, England, which he completed in 1998.

He began his career in recruitment in 2000 when he joined Huxley Associates, a multinational recruitment firm headquartered in London. Having successfully recruited for three years, Pasha subsequently managed a team of four recruiters specializing in recruiting for the front office IT professionals of tier 1 investment banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions. An opportunity was then identified to start up a Huxley office in New York and Pasha was asked to run the IT banking recruitment desk for this start-up.

Pasha left Huxley Associates towards the end of 2005 to repatriate to Trinidad. Here he took on a short consulting contract in October 2006, focusing on a mass recruitment drive for the newly established Caribbean Airlines.

After completing this, Pasha registered his own company Progressive Recruitment Specialists Ltd. This is the only firm in the country to specialize and focus solely on recruitment and selec-tion for professional to executive level positions. Progressive has conducted searches across every major industry in the country and throughout the Caribbean and has established strong working relationships with its clients in providing them with high calibre candidates as well as advice on compensation, closing candidates, etc.

WADIKEE [DIP-IT]:

NAVINDRA [BSc-Management]:

He has touched on all industries both locally and internationally and has carved out a niche for him-self in HR, Accounting and Engineering. 

In HR and Accounting, he has worked with professionals at all levels from assistants to Directors.

On the Engineering side, Wadikee has supported recruitment drives for Mechanical and E&I Engi-neers on the Process Plants, Drilling Engineers for the Upstream O&G multi nationals and Process Engineers for LNG plants as far as Equatorial Guinea.

Navindra is a Human Resource Professional with both HR and Security experience and qualifica-tions. His educational background includes  a BSc. in Business Management and Certifications in Industrial Relations at the University of the West Indies. 

He has always had a passion for HR and Security Management and comes with over 12 years of experience within  the Private Security Industry both strategically and operationally. In the last year he  has shown a definite passion for recruitment  pursuing further research in Recruitment strate-gies and would like to contribute towards creating a new body of information  that would take the industry to a different level in Trinidad and Tobago.

Wadikee joined the newly formed Progressive team ten (10) years ago as one of the organization’s first hires. He started as a Trainee Consultant and five (5) years later worked his way up to a Recruitment Team Lead. Wadikee spent three (3) years working with different Human Resource (HR) and Human Resource Information System (HRIS) consulting firms and re-joined the team in 2018.

His role has since expanded to include recruiting for C-Level executives and within the Sales & Marketing and Software Development space.

NATALIE [BA]:

She brings over 15 years’ experience as a HR Generalist inclusive HR professional with over 15 years experience in the financial services sector which includes 7 years in Employee Relations.

Certificates in Industrial Relations Management and Labour Laws.

Carolyn has her MA(Cantab) in Engineering from Cambridge University. She has been a Director of Progressive from inception, and currently is Operations Director. She brings to the Progressive Team almost 20 years of management consulting and quality assurance experience for local and global organisations - including GSK, PwC, and PA Consulting in over 20 countries primarily in Europe and Latina.

KAFFI [MSc, MBPsS, GPCC]:

CAROLYN [MA (Cantab)]:

She holds an MSc in Occupational Psychology (merit) from London Metropolitan University.

Kaffi Williams brings over thirteen years heterogeneous work experience as a Manager and Imple-mentation Consultant. She has worked in the education, health-care, automotive, oil, gas and public sectors (BHP Billiton, bpTT, Ministry of Education, NHS UK) developing individuals and teams to affect improved business performance.

She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of organisation redesign, change management implementation, process improvement, business performance management, recruit-ment and selection, developing effective teams and performance coaching.

Kaffi Williams is a Business Psychologist, accredited by the British Psychological Society.  Kaffi is a certified psychometric assessor for cognitive ability, personality and psychometric instruments. She has gainfully used these tools to develop her clients to realise their true potential.

SHALINI [BSc - Business]:

Shalini began her career in HR as an On the Job Trainee in the Human Resource department at Trinidad and Tobago Postal Services Corporation (TTPOST). She then continued her career in HR at Associated Brands Industries Limited (ABIL) where she acquired most of her experience in recruitment and selection.

Shalini has a passion for recruitment, mainly because she enjoys interacting with and meeting different personalities. She is open to continuous learning and strives to gain more experience in the field of HR.
