Day 1-To begin to create a plan for

my story

What are the ingredients for writing a good story?

Try to reflect on some of the pirate stories you’ve been reading/ listening to.

Brainstorm your ideas.

Let’s have a look at some of the ingredients

TaskYou will be producing a plan for your story.

Use the story mapping boxes to help

you. Today you will only be focusing on

the beginning, build-up and problem.

You can also draw a picture to go with

each box to help you.

Day 2- I can finish off my plan for my story

Problem... How can the issue in your story be sorted out?

Will your pirate resolve the problem or will it be another character in your story?

Or will the characters work together?

These are some ideas you need to be thinking about.

Ending... This is an opportunity for you to make sure the

problem has been fixed.

What sort of ending would you like your story to have? A happy ending?

Or maybe your ending has a plot twist?

A twist is something unexpected.I.E The story of little red riding hood, when she realises

that her grandma is actually the wolf!

TaskTo complete the resolution and ending for your

plan.

Day 3- To write the beginning and build-up

make our writing interesting and

descriptive!

What is that problem?

Remember to include adjectives to make your reader picture what is going on!

Will it be a few characters working together?

Will there be any magical objects in your story?
