• Isparta is located in one of the beautiful regions of Turkey, named as Lakes Region. The city is very rich in terms of its surroundings including Eğirdir, Burdur, Kovada and Gölcük Lakes, a number of streams, canyons, forests, national parks, a ski centre. Beautiful nature. Located at the Mediterranean Region (Southwest) of Turkey. 1050 m elevation. University and army-based city. Famous with roses, carpet production and lakes.

Suleyman Demirel UniversitySuleyman Demirel University Isparta became a university based-city entirely with

the establishment of SDU.

Established on July, 1992 as a State University.

Although it is a relatively new university, SDU succeeded to be within the top 20 universities of Turkey.

About 43000 students.

Establishment of our Faculty of Engineering and Architecture goes back to 1976 under the name of Isparta State Engineering and Architecture Academy.
