Install Subversive
Eclipse/Galileo
Before we start
What do you want to do? Install Subversive on Eclipse
Why do you need a tutorial to do such an easy task?
Because the task is not trivial, and may even fail
What do you need?
• An installed version of Eclipse (any OS)
• An active Internet connection
• Write permission on the 'eclipse' directory (under Linux, you might have to lauch eclipse as root)
Let's start
Launch Eclipse Select “Help” > “Install new software” In the “Work with” drop-down menu,
choose “Galileo”. The first time, it might take a while (1-2
minutes)
Download
Select “Subversive” Go on, approve the license, and answer
“Yes”. Relax and wait for the download to
finish. You will be asked to restart Eclipse. Do
so.
And now?
You have to download the “connector”, which is the software that does the actual synchronizing magic
There are different possibilities, the safest ist to pick the one that coincides with your JVM version (in this case, the third option)
All done!
• If all went well, your Eclipse is now SVN-enabled.
• Go and checkout your work and start coding!
