A KARATE CAMP

held on

21/03/2016 to 23/03/2016

KARATE CAMP: (29/01/2015-31/1/2015)

Earlier this year, India was left shocked and angered when the news of sexual assault

of school going girls in places like Bangalore and Delhi poured in. Parents were

panicking as they were not sure about sending their child even to the one place which is supposed to be among the safest for children.

Keeping those cases in mind, and various other incidents which have taken place in

the past all across the nation, we at Shri K.K.Shastri Government Commerce College

has decided to take a step towards the safety of girls at our college and has organized

a three days Karate Camp from 21/03/2016-23/03/2016 from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm.

“These strategies cultivate in individuals the ability to remain alert yet calm at all

times. Therefore, self-defence training will assist girl students to become more aware of their surroundings and to not feel helpless in any situation,”

More than 100 girl students has actively participated in it.

STATE LEVEL WORKSHOP

ON

“REVISITING WOMEN EMPOWERMENT”

WORKSHOP:(19/02/2016):

We at Shri K.K.Shastri Government Commerce College has motivated our girl

students for women empowerment by sending our three girl students name as (1)

Kshatariya Lata (2) Chaudhari Neema and (3)Bhadoriya Roshani at a state level

workshop organized by CWDC-RJTCC on “Revisiting Women Empowerment” on

19th February,2016 held at R.J. Tibrewal Commerce College,Vastrapur Ahmedabad

along with the chairman of CWDC Prof.Fahmeeda F.Shaikh from 9:00am to 5:00pm .

The registration fees was Rs.50 per person. The college has reimbursed the

registration fees of all four of them.

A very motivational lecture was delivered by a key note speaker like Ruzan

Khambhatta.

SEMINAR

ON

“Women Empowerment & Development of their

Vocational Skill

SEMINAR: (27/02/2016) We at Shri K.K.Shastri Government Commerce College has motivated our girl

students for women empowerment andenhanching their vocational skill by sending

our two girl students name as (1) Anjali (2) Monika at a state level seminar

organized by CWDC on “ Women Empowerment & development of their Vocational

Skill” on 27th February,2016 held at C.U.SHAH Science College, Ahmedabad along

with the chairman of CWDC Prof.Fahmeeda F.Shaikh from 9:00am to 5:00pm . The

registration fees was Rs.100 per student and Rs 200 per faculty . The college has

reimbursed the registration fees of all three of them.

A COURSE

OF

HOTEL MANAGEMENT

HOTEL MANAGEMENT: A Hotel Management course for the girls students of our college was initiated by

our Principalsir. This programme was sponsored by the Indian Institute of Hotel

Management , Gandhinagar and Ministry of Tourism, India.

A 45 Hours Trainning on Housekeeping, Basic Etiquettes’, Personality

Development was taught to the girl students. After the completion of 45 days of

training the students were awarded with a certificate ,two trouser ,two shirts of

IIHM and the check of Rs 1500 per students. A total of 103 students have

participated in it.
