IIM Indore organized a marathon on 2nd October 2014. Participants from PGP-Mumbai also participated in the event. e marathon not only highlighted the need for running to stay t but also helped in spreading awareness about the challenges our nation faces. is year the marathon focused on the problem of Homelessness. Poverty, Unemployment, Disability has elevated the prproblem of homelessness in the country to a sky high level. e marathon was a very successful event with over 5000 people participating in the marathon.

IIM Indore celebrated its 18th Foundation Day on Friday, October 3, 2014. Participants from IIM Indore along with the PGP-Mumbai participants attended the foundation day celebrations. e Foundation Day programme began with the welcome address delivered by Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director, IIM Indore. He urged the IIM-I community members to move forward with the inintention of strengthening our ability to impact management practices and thought leadership.

Indore Marathon

Participants from PGP - 2 went to the valleys of Himalaya for their Himalayan Outbound program, a four credit course at IIM Indore. 4 different teams went to different locations such as Kedarkantha, Dayara-Barsu , Bedni-Bugyal and Nainital.e participants competed against each other in the treks and various other competition. e feedback about the performance of PGP Mumbai paticipants was excellent. Both the teams from Nainital won the best overall performing team amongst 11 teams.

A Panel Discussion was organised with three veteran consultants Ms. Akhila Rajan, Associate Director at PWC, Mr. Anil Nahata, Managing Partner at Nahata Consultancy Services and Mr. Roopank Choudhary, Consultant at McLagan & Head of Financial Institutions at Aon Hewitt under Prof. Rishikesha Krishnan, Director, IIM Indore as moderator to discuss thoroughly and dig deep in to the question on table.

Mr. Ciril Abraham , COO of e Professional Couriers, visited the campus on 25th November. He spoke about the challenges faced by a logistics industry. e interaction helped the participants in perceiving opertations as a specialization in a better way.

Mr. Siddhartha Pahwa, CEO, Meru Cabs Pvt. Ltd., visited IIM Indore Mumbai Campus on December 26, 2014 to interact with the PGP participants. He shared different innovative technology systems and role of data analytics to grow a business. e whole session gave a good insight to the participants about how to create a brand and transform a business with technology implementation and focussed leadership.

Mr. Kartik Ramachandran who is Principal at IDFC Project Equity Pvt. Limited visited the campus on 1st November and shared his insights on “Ramblings on Private Equity Industry”. He is an alumni of IIM Indore’s rst batch.

Mr. Vikas Jain from Goldman Sachs, a seasoned Equity Research Analyst delivered a lecture on 26th November on “Equity research- an organizational and functional perspective”. He also shared his experience from his research on investments in Oil and Gas Sector.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP was organized by UMMID on 4th Dec, 2014. It was conducted in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society. Students from both CCGRT and IIM Indore(Mumbai Campus) donated blood and a total of 50 units were collected by day end. e team of Red Cross, headed by Mr. RamvilasUnahelkar, expressed its willingness to conduct more such camps in the campus in future.

Promoception : A poster making competition was organized by IIM Indore Mumbai Campus. e participants were required to launch a new product by an existing brands. ere were a healthy number of entries. e winners were :1st : IIM Raipur2nd : XIM Bhubaneswar3rd : TAPMI Manipal

Encaption : A tagline competition was organized in which participants had to show their creativity by tagging some specied photographs. ere were over 100 entries. e winners were :1st - Jayati Narula, SIBM Pune2nd - Inderjeet Singh, SIBM Pune3rd - Raushan Parthsarthy, SJSOM IIT Bombay

MarkOut:Marketricks Club represented IIM Indore Mumbai Campus in the Online Quizzing Festival of Dare2Compete.com. e club conducted an online quiz called ‘MarkedOut’. e quiz saw an overwhelming response with participation from 960 students of top-notch institutes across the country. e winners were:11st: Delhi Technological University2nd: IIM Lucknow

DiwaliPGP-I and PGP-II students of IIM Indore Mumbai Campus celebrated Diwali fervently. Puja of Goddess Laxmi was followed by an energetic ramp walk and then the participants shared their happiness by bursting some crackers.

Halloween Night HHalloween night was celebrated with the traditional way of wearing costumes and some fun games. Participants were given awards for the wackiest dresses and a game of “MUMMY” building activity was organized with the help of newspaper.

Christmas Christmas was celebrated with great enthusiasm. e tradition of Secret Santa was followed which involved exchange of gis anonymously among the participants. e Santa of the evening cut the christmas cake. e event ended with a great performance by Ashish Malik.
