Subiectul I:READING (30 points)There has been much talk about a secret United States Air Force base in Rachel,

 Nevada, known as Area 51. The base is located 90 miles north of Las Vegas. Area 51 doesnot need to follow any environmental regulations and its budget is completely secret. Nothingis publicly known about what happens there, but the base has been a test site for many top-secret CIA projects. Some say it is a center for studies on UFOs (Unidentified Flying

Objects). According to some investigators who have only seen the base from the outside (andwho are chased away by the military as soon as they are noticed) there are some hangars. Onehangar is quite big. There is also a control tower. According to their reports, a group of unmarked airliners takes more than 1,500 workers from Las Vegas to the base every work day.

In 1989, Bob Lazar, a former employee of Area 51, told reporters that he saw andworked with alien spacecraft there.

Many UFO researchers believe it is possible that remains of aliens and alienspacecraft, such as what was taken away at Roswell, are being kept there.A
