Course of Studies - Contents and Objectives

The course specification for the Bachelor programme in Political and Social Studies provides for aninterdisciplinary and multifunctional course in Social Sciences combining fundamental qualificationsin scientific research with further competences in analysis and special methods. Students acquirea knowledge of Political Theory and Political Philosophy, Comparative Politics and Governance,International Relations, Security, Peace and Conflict Studies, Social Theory and Social Stratification/Social Inequality. Further competences include methodological knowledge (statistical literacy) andpractical skills of empirical social research, statistics, data collection and data analysis in the SocialSciences.

The course objective of the Bachelor programme in Political and Social Studies is to enable students tobe successful in meeting political, social and career-orientated challenges.
