The Sub-Zero wine preservation collection is versatile and stylish enough to look at home in any kitchen, whethercontemporary or traditional. Becausewe’ve been doing this longer thananyone else, we know more thananyone else; and that shows in thebreadth and depth of our range. Wehave styles and configurations toappeal to every taste and to suit anylook with a choice of sizes to fit everykitchen, bar, pool area or media centre.

This option matches the Built-in rangeof refrigeration and offers the classicSub-Zero look. Designed for thosewho want their wine storage builtinto cabinetry but still want to seethe product’s handsome lines, sleekhinges and stylish sheen of heavy-guage stainless steel. Alternatively,with the overlay design and flush insetapplication, you can customise thebuilt-in units with your choice of finishor with Sub-Zero classic stainless steelpanels, either to match or act as acounterpoint to surrounding cabinetry.This model can also be given a freestanding look with the addition ofSub-Zero stainless steel side and toppanels.

This option matches the Integratedrange of Sub-Zero refrigeration andallows the units to disappear within thesurrounding cabinetry with no visiblehinges or grilles. These models aredesigned to merge seamlessly into yourenvironment and are flexible enoughto be placed wherever you need winestorage such as the dining room, study,den or bedroom, as well of course asthe kitchen. Optional Sub-Zero stainlesssteel front panels are available to createa contrast to the cabinetry of the room.

Undercounter options provide compactwine storage at the same level ofquality and design as the larger units.Choose from a built-in undercounterunit to complete a kitchen island,bar, or pool area. Alternately, choosea fully clad stainless steel, free-standing undercounter unit; placein position or move easily to anotherarea, to beautifully preserve your winecollection, wherever you choose tolocate it.

There are three available styles: thebuilt-in line for the classic Sub-Zerolook with its sleek lines and iconicdesign touches; the undercounter line,small enough to fit into the cosiest ofcorners but still large enough to housean impressive 46 bottles; and theintegrated line, designed to disappearinto the cabinetry so that nothing getsin the way of your creative vision. Eachhas its own distinct look but all have thesame obsessive attention to detail andbuild quality that makes Sub-Zero winepreservation a class apart.

Great wine needs be nurtured and caredfor, to enjoy it at its best. Sub-Zero wine preservation units are designed to keepyour finest wine in perfect condition bykeeping it in perfect conditions. Sub-Zerounderstands the four enemies ofwine – temperature, humidity, light andvibration – better than anyone, andpainstakingly creates equipment thatprotects your wine from each one. Craftedfrom stainless steel, with UV-resistant glass,cherry wood slats and smoothly glidingshelves, its two independent storage zonesalways maintain the ideal temperature andhumidity. It’s often said that there is no suchthing as a great wine, only great bottlesof wine. That’s because quality variesso much from one bottle to another,largely as a result of varying storageconditions. Sub-Zero carefully designsits wine preservation units so that you’renever disappointed. Much more thanmere coolers, they provide the perfectstorage conditions, protecting againstthe adverse heat, humidity, light andvibration that can damage your wine.

Two independent storage zones,each sealed and digitally controlled,allow you to simultaneously maintainperfect cellar and serving conditionsin the same unit. Microprocessorcontrol maintains even temperaturesto within one degree of your presets.The ultraviolet glass panel filters out theharmful rays that can cause prematureaging. The quiet compressor lets winesrest undisturbed, without the vibrationthat can harm delicate wines. Shelvesglide out smoothly, providing accesswithout agitation and you even havethe ability to link your wine collectionto a home control system. The result?Perfect conditions, and perfect wine.

Light affects aging and has been implicated in causing

unpleasant aromas. That is why many winemakers use

dark bottles. But invisible ultraviolet light penetrates even

dark glass–not to mention the glass doors of many wine

cooling units. Sub-Zero’s UV-resistant, bronze-tinted

glass shields wine from harmful rays.

THE ENEMIES OF WINE

No one likes premature aging. But that is what excessive

heat and unstable temperatures cause in wine. Sub-Zero

maintains wine’s preferred habitat– cool and steady– in up

to three independent storage zones. Each can be set in a

range of 4˚C to 18˚C Digital controls hold the temperature

within one degree of the set point.

There are four “Enemies” of wIne, which even the most casual wine drinker should be aware of when

deciding how to store their wine for aging, or just for later enjoyment. These ‘Enemies’ are, in order of

the damage they can do, teperature, light, humidity, and vibration.

VIBRATIONA rough, noisy compressor would disturb more than the

peace of your household. Mechanical vibration can damage

delicate wines, such as pinot noir. Sub-Zero’s quiet

compressor lets wines rest undisturbed. Shelves glide in

and out smoothly, providing access without agitating the wine.

HUMIDIT YWhen it comes to humidity, wine appreciates moderation.

Too little moisture in the air makes corks dry out and shrink,

letting the wine oxidize. Too much makes labels peel and

rot. Sub-Zero’s dual evaporators– one for each storage

zone–maintain steady, moderate humidity.
