The cover is one of the most important components of the spa. It holds heat in the spa as well as prevents leaves, dirt and debris from entering the water. A traditional vinyl cover’s ability to retain heat (commonly referred to as R-value) can be reduced by as much as 20% per year due to water and moisture absorption — resulting in escalating heating costs.

Smartop’s impermeable, rigid polymer exterior shields the interior insulating foam from harsh chemical vapors and steam while the interior insulating foam from Owens Corning is speci� cally designed to resist water absorption, eliminating the problem of reduced R-value for the life of the cover.
