BASIC KIT (2 days)

Saint-Petersburg is the heart of Russian culture;

a city of palaces, channels, drawbridges and

beauty, impacted by great empires, revolutions

and World War II. It is a place that one needs to

see at least once in their life. You can feel the

spirit of this incredible city on the first day, but 24

hours wouldn’t be sufficient to learn its true

essences.

From the mysterious twilight of the White Nights

to world-beating opera and ballet productions on

magical summer nights, St. Petersburg charms

and entices in every season.

Having visited St. Petersburg once,

you will return again and again

Imperial Day

Includes

Peterhof

Palace + Fountains

BASIC KIT (2 days)

One of St. Petersburg's most famous and

popular visitor attractions, the palace and park at

Peterhof (also known as Petrodvorets) are often

referred to as "the Russian Versaille", although

many visitors conclude that the comparison does

a disservice to the grandeur and scope of this

majestic estate.

Improvements to the park continued throughout

the 18th and 19th centuries. Catherine the Great,

after leaving her own mark on the park, moved

the court to Pushkin, but Peterhof once again

became the official Imperial Residence in the

reign of Nicholas I, who ordered the building of

the modest Cottage Palace in 1826.

Trip to Pscov, Pechory, Izborsk

On this day, you will have the change to visit 3

amazing cities all within 300 km of Saint-Petersburg.

PSKOV is an ancient Russian city with more than

Estonia and Latvia.

PECHORY is 53 km away from Pskov. There you will

been continually open for more than 530 years.

IZBORSK is a city older than both Moscow and

Pskov. It is a truly unique place that has a lot of

different & interesting stories to tell you. It is said to

Museum of Leningrad's Blockade

Piskarevskii memorial

To you, our selfless defenders

Thankful Leningrad will always cherish your memory

Descendants will owe their lives to you

The heroes' eternal glory grows in the glory of their descendants.

To the victims of the Great War's blockade

Your heroic deed is eternal in hearts of generations to come

To the proud heroes of unending glory

Keep your life by the example of the fallen heroes.

by M.A. Dudin

The whole day is devoted to Soviet-era Saint

Petersburg (Leningrad), the most tragic period in the

city’s history, full of suffering and heroism. For

everyone who lives in St. Petersburg,

the Blokada (the Siege) of Leningrad is an important

part of the city's heritage and a painful memory for

the population's older generations.

Page 10: Study Tour St.Pete

Each day, every hour

I habitually follow in my thoughts,

Trying to guess from their number

The year which brings my death.

And where will fate send death to me?

In battle, in my travels, or on the seas?

Or will the neighbouring valley

Receive my chilled ashes?

And although to the senseless body

It is indifferent wherever it rots,

Yet close to my beloved countryside

I still would prefer to rest.

And let it be, beside the grave’s vault

That young life forever will be playing,

And impartial, indifferent nature

Eternally be shining in beauty.

-Aleksandr Serigeevich Pushkin
