SUCCESS STORY BY ASAD BILAL (SIALKOT)

School TB Clubs Team visited Government Allama Iqbal Memorial High

School GohdPur-Sialkot, for awareness campaign and establishing TB Club.

The team delivered an awareness lecture and distributed the flyers about

TB. The lecture was attended by more than 500 students, in which they

were told about symptoms and preventive measures regarding TB and were

introduced to the TB Club project regarding its aims, objectives and

activities.

Student’s Introduction: Asad Bilal is a student of class 9th in Govt. Allama

Iqbal Memorial Higher Secondary School Gohar pur Sialkot; he is a member

of School TB Club. He has referred a case of Pulmonary TB. His scanned

My name is Asad Bilal. I am a student of Govt. Allama Iqbal Memorial Higher

Secondary School Gohar pur Sialkot; I am a School TB Club member.

One day I was going to my relative’s home. On the way I saw a girl, having

severe cough. I said Salam to her and asked her about cough. She told me

that she is having cough for about one week. When I told her about other

symptoms of TB she admitted that she had that. I advised her to go

immediately to hospital for check up and get her sputum examined.

When she went to hospital and did her medical check up and investigations

she was diagnosed a case of TUBERCULOSIS.

Now she is under treatment. I have advised her to continue the Anti

Tuberculosis Treatment regularly and on daily basis. Her Treatment card

and investigation report is attached along with.

Finally I would like to say that the people have the misconception that TB is

not curable. Our duty is to inform them that TB is CURABLE.

treatment for pulmonary TB. Treatment started on 14/07/2009.)
