A. Course Assignments
Dashboard:Weekly assignments appear.
Just click on Begin Assignment and follow the directions. Note due dates!
B. Seminar / edTPA Submissions
This is a Teaching Seminar/edTPA assignment. Your seminar professor will provide guidance in completing these.
C. Field Experience Assessments
Click on Field Experience tab
Two placements at the same time? Not really!
The one that says F18 ST Elementary P1 or F18 ST Secondary P1, or F18 ST K‐12 P1 is the realplacement.
It is the only one seen by your mentor teacher.
See the following slide.
The real placement:F18 ST Elementary P1 OR F18 ST Secondary P1 OR F18 ST K‐12 P1
The one that says F18 ST Timeline is seen only by you and your EDUC 464 professor.
Find the one that says F18 ST Elementary, or F18 ST Secondary,or F18 ST K‐12. Click on View Placement.
You see Placement Details, Assessments, and Time Log.
You are really only interested in the Assessments.
Ignore the Time Log. It is not used for Student Teaching.
Ignore the Request for extension. If your assessment shows overdue, just click and complete it anyway.
Most of the assessments are for the mentor teacher to complete.
Everything will open for you when completed except the Coaching reliability exercise. Don’t worry about that one, please!
All the others will change to Assessment Completed and let you open as soon as they are completed.
If the listing is yellow and says “Assessment continuing,” the mentor has closed the assessment by clicking Save.
The mentor either has not yet completed the assessment or needs your gentle guidance to go back and click Submit Assessment.
Two assessments are for you to complete close to the end of the placement.(They are not graded except for the fact that you complete them. Completion = 100%.)
After completing the rubric, click Submit Assessment. To save it, not submit yet, and return to complete later, click Save.
If you click Cancel, you will erase all your ratings and comments and have to start over.
Click on the Field Experience tab again and find the placement that says F18 ST Timeline Elementary, or F18 ST Timeline Secondary, or F18 ST Timeline
K‐12. Click on View Placement.
Here you see a series of week‐by‐week listings. They are really checklists,to assist you in keeping on track.
Please IGNORE Request for extension. You should not get behind, but if the listing does show Overdue, just click it open and complete it anyway.
Simply click the cells to indicate your completion of each task. Add comments if you wish. When all the cells are clicked, the average at the bottom of the
rubric will show 100%.
Be sure to click Submit Assessment when finished.
